Finished the game in 2 days... what can i say about it. (i'll just throw spoilers at the end.)
First a resume, then pros and cons and info about hardware.
Coming from one my fav games, Human Revolution, i can say that... if you like human revolution, this one is a piece of cake, it seems smaller than HR, but it's a awesome adventure.
I put it in hold for 10 years... (i 100% HR on xbox 360) and now i played on Steam Deck, the lore is awesome, the weapon handling is great, the ambience is PEAK, and you can do alot of exploring on your own...
Now to the Pros:
- Movement is great on this one, just like the classics.
- Ammo is not rare like HR, you can go guns blazing, or do like me and finish the game peacefully.
- Almost an open world game, you can explore the locations alot, without restriction, this time, if you see a location and think "can i go there?", yeah, you can! Some restrictions, but yeah, big map, high quality.
- Decisions matter, like time, so you can make your own path with your decisions, and they matter in the ending... as some missions are timed, and no timer is shown.
- World building is peak, every character feels alive, like they have a life, and they react to jensen... peak.
Cons:
- Got less weapons than HR... i mean, i think. Guns feels great, but, only a few of them and very little customizable.
- Only 3 real places, like HR. Praga, The Augmented Prision city and London. (at least praga is big af)
- Not too many quests... sadly, it gives that feeling of "greater world", but... there's only so many side quests, and the game is very short too.
- Repetitive, they really needed to make the game small, because at the 75% of the game, everything starts to feel samey.
- (Spoiler) 1 Boss, only.
- Not made for Keyboard and Mouse, the controls are confusing, and the menu is laggy with the mouse.
- The feeling when you finish the game (spoilers, i'll tell later).
Now, Hardware:
So, belive or not, this game runs better on the Steam Deck than a pc with a 1070TI with 16gb of ram and 4600g amd, it's something with the resolution...
You can run on ultra on low resolution and 60 FPS, but DON'T try to run it above 120hz in 1080p, it not only runs bad but it crashes ALOT, like, every 10 minutes or so, it is not optimized for some reason for new hardware (i think), and the main menu is the worse part, if the game runs at 30 fps, the main menu runs at 10...
But for some reason, in Steam Deck, it runs like baby butter, 90 fps stable, no lags, no problems, at default settings, and the controls are PEAK, so if you have a Steam Deck, use it on it, it's a great game if it's cheap! I tried to play on pc, the mouse sensitivity is all wrong and janky, like... it's off, all menus are laggy, the inventory is soooo hard to manage with the mouse, the only good thing is typing passwords...
AND now... about the end of the game (SPOILERS!! Like, don't read if you are going to play it!)
So... the game just finishes, i guess? Like, it promisses so much about the illuminati, the hacker guy, the base on the swiss awps... but like the aug camp, the game looks amazing, but it just sprints like ♥♥♥♥! Like, calm down devs... so much to explore, but so little quests and que main quest is just so fast, and it ends like "End of Chapter 1", but instead, the game ends! Like, WTH, i finished it with 6 hours... the pacifist run is great, but sooo overpowered...
I'm going to go at it again using all my weapons and just be a serial killer, bcs stealth is so easy with the invisible power and the dart sniper is just way too overpowered... anyway, i'll never forget this game as the first one, but... it lacks content in the main history, gonna play the dlc's and make another run soon, but... they could have make the game longer and better in regard of gameplay, i mean, it's PEAK gameplay, but, it's like eating a tiny chocolate cake, you eat and crave for more, but... that's it, that's what you get, deal with it.
8/10 - Wish it was longer, it improves everything from the last game, but lacks content.
