I've really enjoyed Destiny 2 over the years. Mostly played solo. A bit of online activity with those near me in game. I loved the environments...like, I would stop what I was doing and just take them in. One of my favorite parts of the game actually. The epic backdrops and scenery.. The gameplay is fun. Definitely made a cool build or so. Combat was fun. The story is captivating enough. Not game of all time level for me, but I didn't get everything out of it that I could have. I can easily see it being an ultra favorite game for sure. On me for not playing it more. I have loved it to close to that level. I just didn't get involved in the community. It was fun when I did play with friends. I know there are some gripes, for me, some quests were a bit grindy. For me though, mostly solo, gorgeous game with engaging combat. Should have played more with others. 8-9/10 i suppose. Kinda 10/10 for me though, them dope backgrounds with immense scale just seemed sick. I had a lot of fun.

Played a ton of hours of this on Xbox/PS4. Stopped playing for a long time but recently the complete edition was on sale for a really reasonable price so I picked it up and started playing with a friend again. While I realize Bungie won't be releasing any new content, the game is still fresh and has a lot of content (at least for me) since I haven't played it since 2020.
The addictive experience of getting weapons while surrounded by such beautifull map and characters leaves you always wanting more.
this game sucks
The Programmers programed a game that does not make sense as a shooter's game
Sometime back in 2014 I had saved up a few bucks to spoil myself to a new game and decided to buy a copy of GTAV from Gamestop. I got home, ripped the plastic off the case, stuck the disc into the Ps3, and waited for it to load up...but it would never finish. Over and over again that little white bar would fill up to around 60-70% and just stop. So, I went back to Gamestop and told them I was having issues with my new copy of the game and they exchanged my copy for another new one. I had the same issues with this copy as well...So again, I went back to Gamestop and told them about my issue. They were pretty understanding but unsure of how to help...then the girl assisting me asked "have you ever heard of Destiny"? And thats the day it all started... I think everyone here can imagine the stories I have to tell about the game as you've all experienced similar versions of them for yourselves. This review would never end if I did but I will say that this game has always been there for me from the PS3 to the PS4 to my first PC I built a few years ago. I played years worth my closest friends, bought every collectible I could find on store shelves, and years later helped my fiance conquer dozens of raids with our fireteam of friends. I am currently coming back after a long break and finding out the news about the game. Im sad about it, but for now I have tons to do and the game feels great thanks to the final patch. It feels good not having to power through seasons and just play casually and thoroughly. Right now I am very happy just messing with builds, finishing off titles and collections, and wrapping up story expansions I missed and generally just taking it all in but at a slower pace. It's hard to say wether or not its a great time to come back or to start up for the first time but I can say as a returning player and someone who has experienced the rush of expansion releases and seasonal models of Destiny that I do like this a lot right now that those pressures don't exist. I have seen plenty of new players out there this week though which is a great sign. Overall, I just love Destiny and am happy to play it no matter what state it's currently in and I hope to see the game remain alive with returning players and new ones alike. Thanks for the memories, everyone <3
