2D-Schleichspiel im Westerngewand - nur für absolute Fans des Genres! Es ist grell und für meinen Geschmack zu comichaft-bunt ausgefallen, es ist politisch korrekt (mit Frauencowboys und -killern, wie sie höchstens in den Geschichtsbüchern der Gen Z vorkommen), es ärgert mit einer furchtbar unpräzisen Steuerung, es ist ein reines Trial- and Error-Spiel, das Entscheidungsfreiheit vorgaukelt, wo häufig Linearität die Realität ist - und es ist übertrieben hart. Wenn man nicht bereit ist, sich minutenlang den Kopf darüber zu zermartern, wie man wohl die Wachen vor dem Scheunentor X und die vorbeikommenden Patrouillen ausschalten könnte, ist das nicht zu empfehlen; kurzum, dieses Spiel hat einiges, was nicht vernügungssteuerpflichtig ist. Dafür bietet es sattes Wildwest-Flair, schön designte Schauplätze, eine stimmige Musik, ansprechende cutscenes und Einführungen und das Gefühl, in die Zeit Ende der 90er Jahre zurückversetzt worden zu sein, als das Ur-Desperados und die Commandos-Reihe den Spielemarkt eroberten. Auf deutsch ist das sogar ziemlich gut vertont; man hat sich offenbar Mühe gegeben, Sprecher zu engagieren, die ähnlich klingen wie diejenige des ersten Desperados-Spiels. Wegen seines hohen Schwierigkeitsgrades nur für Nostalgiker und Fans dieser Spielmechanik geeignet, alle anderen sollten auf einen Sale warten.

Desperados III ist ein Echtzeit-Taktikspiel im Wilden Westen und erzählt die Vorgeschichte von John Cooper. Statt schneller Schusswechsel stehen Planung, Beobachtung und der geschickte Einsatz der fünf spielbaren Charaktere im Mittelpunkt. Jede Figur verfügt über eigene Fähigkeiten, die sich in den Missionen sinnvoll kombinieren lassen. Die abwechslungsreichen Karten bieten meist mehrere Wege zum Ziel. Gegner folgen festen Patrouillen und reagieren auf Sicht sowie Geräusche, wodurch sich jede Situation analysieren und auf unterschiedliche Weise lösen lässt. Besonders der Showdown-Modus ermöglicht es, Aktionen mehrerer Figuren gleichzeitig zu planen und auszuführen. Grafik und Sound erzeugen eine stimmige Western-Atmosphäre, ohne dabei die Übersichtlichkeit des Spielgeschehens zu beeinträchtigen. Das Spiel richtet sich vor allem an Spieler, die Geduld mitbringen und Freude daran haben, taktische Lösungen zu entwickeln. Durch die Möglichkeit, jederzeit zu speichern und verschiedene Vorgehensweisen auszuprobieren, lädt jede Mission zum Experimentieren ein. Como los primeros juegos esta bueno con buenas mecánicas, solo lo pase en difícil y tiene buen balance. Todos los personajes tiene buenas mecánicas únicas. Los nivel se ven bien sin un único camino posible. Si ya has jugado al 1 y 2, o de la saga comandos no te va a decepcionar.
Best RTS game that I've played
An incredibly fun game, fantastic setting and each character is very unique. It has branching missions giving you a choice of how to complete them. Reminds me of the commando game series of old, where planning is key and very rewarding. The music and art design is brilliant and really pulls you in. Highly recommend this game.
