Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recomendo!!
Review #14
Brief: As a person who enjoyed their previous game, CPU Invaders, and made a review for it, I also enjoyed this one. In fact, I would argue this one might be better than CPU Invaders. Both are very similar, but this one you play as a different character and the game is more challenging in my opinion compared to CPU Invaders, makes you think more. Positives

Fun and a little bit tricky sometimes
Keeps the same concept as CPU Invaders, having the unique option to play the game over something in the background of your screen (like a YouTube video)
You play as a different entity in each level unlike CPU Invaders
Straight-forward, easy to get all achievements
Music is different each level
Literally very cheap price
Negatives

Pretty short game
There are no settings currently to turn off the music or sound effects so if you're playing it over a YouTube video, you'll have to mute the entire game in general.
"I'm not gonna tell you if you should buy it though, that's up to you to decide, I just provide my positive and negative experiences" - wamcrash
bom, porém um pouco sem graça

Desktop Agents - Cov1d-999 is a strange little indie title that transforms a player’s desktop into the battlefield for a bizarre alien virus outbreak. Rather than focusing on cinematic storytelling or complicated mechanics, the game builds its entire identity around humor, desktop interaction, and arcade-style chaos. The concept alone is enough to grab attention because the game does not stay confined inside a standard fullscreen window. Instead, enemies and gameplay elements appear directly over the user’s desktop, creating the illusion that a dangerous infection is spreading across the computer itself. It is a playful and self-aware idea that immediately separates the game from more conventional indie shooters. The overall gameplay is intentionally simple and easy to pick up. Players are tasked with eliminating incoming virus-like enemies before they overrun the screen, and the controls are designed so that anyone can jump into the action within minutes. The arcade structure revolves around surviving increasingly hectic waves while trying to maintain control of the cluttered battlefield. As the stages progress, the pressure intensifies, forcing faster reactions and more careful movement. While the mechanics themselves are not especially deep, the steady escalation helps keep the experience entertaining during short play sessions. The game clearly prioritizes accessibility and comedic energy over complexity. What truly defines the experience is the way it integrates itself into the desktop environment. The transparent background presentation allows players to continue browsing or multitasking while the game unfolds on top of everything else. This feature gives the illusion that the virus has literally invaded the computer, which perfectly matches the game’s absurd premise. The draggable interface and overlay system make it feel less like a traditional game and more like an interactive desktop toy. It is a creative gimmick, but one that works surprisingly well because the developers fully commit to the idea instead of treating it as a minor novelty. The game’s tone is heavily inspired by internet meme culture and exaggerated pandemic satire. Fake warnings, over-the-top dialogue, and comedic references help establish a ridiculous atmosphere that never takes itself seriously. The humor can feel intentionally chaotic, almost like a parody of the online panic and strange social behavior that surrounded the pandemic era. Rather than trying to deliver emotional storytelling, the game embraces nonsense and absurdity at every opportunity. For some players this style of humor will be amusing and charming, while others may find it repetitive after extended sessions. Still, the commitment to the joke gives the game personality, which is often more memorable than technical polish. Another highlight is the soundtrack and overall audio presentation. The music carries a dramatic and cinematic energy that contrasts amusingly with the ridiculous gameplay scenarios. This creates a funny imbalance where the game behaves as if every virus encounter is a life-or-death action movie moment. Sound effects are exaggerated and energetic, reinforcing the arcade atmosphere while keeping the pacing lively. Even though the production values are modest, there is a noticeable effort to create a cohesive experience where visuals, audio, and gameplay all support the same chaotic comedic tone. Visually, Desktop Agents - Cov1d-999 embraces a colorful and cartoonish style rather than aiming for realism. Character designs, enemy sprites, and interface elements are all exaggerated enough to fit the absurd setting. The presentation may look simple at first glance, but the unusual desktop integration gives the visuals their own identity. Watching enemies move across an actual desktop background creates a strange immersion that many larger indie projects fail to achieve despite having better graphics. The game proves that originality in presentation can sometimes matter more than graphical fidelity. Of course, the experience does have limitations. The gameplay loop is relatively shallow, meaning repetition becomes noticeable after longer sessions. Once the novelty of the desktop interaction wears off, players are left with a fairly basic arcade shooter underneath the gimmick. Some stages can also become visually cluttered, especially when numerous enemies and effects appear at once. Depending on the state of the player’s desktop, the transparent overlay system may occasionally create distractions or make the action harder to follow. The game works best in short bursts rather than marathon sessions. Despite these shortcomings, there is something genuinely entertaining about how experimental the project feels. Many indie games attempt to imitate successful formulas, but Desktop Agents - Cov1d-999 chooses to build its identity around an unusual interaction concept instead. That willingness to experiment gives the game a memorable quality even when its mechanics remain simple. It feels like a product created by developers who wanted to make something amusing and different rather than commercially safe. In the end, Desktop Agents - Cov1d-999 succeeds more as a creative novelty experience than as a fully fleshed-out arcade shooter. Players looking for deep progression systems or sophisticated gameplay may not stay engaged for very long, but those who enjoy quirky indie concepts and self-aware humor will likely appreciate its originality. The game captures a bizarre snapshot of internet culture through a desktop invasion gimmick that remains entertaining simply because of how unusual it is. It may not become a long-term obsession, but it is difficult to forget once experienced. Rating: 7/10
