I don't ever review a game. Well to be honest.. I have never, until this time here. If you like political stuff in real life, you will like this game. It is tough to learn, at first. But super well worth the time investing into learning, and getting better with each new Country playthrough. Game is simple in its design in some aspects. Then on other aspects, such a simulation? Spot on. Great game. Great time killer.
This game has a lot of flaws. International relations and other countries or geopolitical blocks are ignrored. Policies and effects are somewhat predetermined and also have their own bias. Effect of policies like police and education have short term effects which are unrealistic. Also environment policies have a very short term effect especially regarding the climate. Economy and GDP are somewhat capped and income from taxes also does not keep growing as it should. Events are limited and repetetive when you play for longer. Tropico did a better job regarding simulating economy and politics and also is more fun.

Mam mieszane uczucia.
This game doesn't count as a political sim, it's more of a spreadsheet sim. Values on screen are meaningless, the math is actually a percentage based calculation for almost everything. You also get oddities like gun control resulting in more crime somehow? You're not chasing your ideal government, you're finding different paths that balance the same equation.
this is not what I was expecting, it is definitely not a simulation.
A fascinating game. Great role-play. Teaches you about politics and government. Chasing utopia is great fun.
Honestly kinda shocked I haven't left a review this game is great I recommend playing it to get an idea how various policies interact and it might give you the ability to recognise how complex government really is
It's a fun-filled afternoon or evening of ruining a country. Those interested in current events or politics will certainly want to try this out (especially if it is on sale).
The bug which prevented it from booting up has now been fixed, and it is a fun game. Some of the policies don't seem viable when they should be when used alongside other ones, so it sometimes feels like there is always a "correct" option to play, which takes away from the fun of trying to make certain policies work.
