Desperately needs some polish and performance optimization. PC cost nearly $4000 and is running Arch Linux, still get frame dips and jumps. I understand if this was made on a laptop, but please don't make it run like that for everyone else. Combat is floaty and clunky at times. Dodging doesn't feel very precise and the enemy interrupt window is barely there or noticeable. Tutorial softlocks if you go into the kitchen before opening the restaurant. Graphics seem a little gritty at times especially if it's something below you or far away in town (like it's a nintendo switch port or something with heavy shimmering). Roguelite elements for the dungeons seems unnecessary as it's only used for room generation and not much else. Quality of items found in dungeons should scale with equipment level and not be random. Cooking and overall tutorial instructions needs to be more intuitive, or at least clearer to what the player should be doing; Options to rebind controls (for Mouse+Key AND Controller), or use mouse for drag and drop would be a nice addition. Art style needs some improvement, overall decent cooking/adventure game that definitely needs polish; very relaxing otherwise. I used to do quality assurance for games like this so I'm going to leave this as a thumbs up for now.
Great looking game, good music, and extremely casual gameplay all-around. Had fun for about an hour? Maybe a little less, but I feel that it was worth the price for that time (bought on sale for ~$11). However, there is no customer customization whatsoever. Though this isn't that big a deal for me, personally, it may come as a drawback for some looking for something more personal. The character you play as has no personality either. May as well just disregard appearances of characters entirely. The controls are also not customizable. I tried both keyboard and controller, and had issues with both The camera is terrible, that's it. You're locked on a single angle, with no zoom in or out. The enemy lock-on feature does not work because of this issue. Locking on just changes the camera's focus slightly towards that enemy, then immediately stops the second the enemy moves away from you The optimization for this game is quite bad. Frame drops in the dungeons, town, and even your own restaurant while closed. The game looks great, but the gameplay experience is ruined even on high-end setups.
