About
Deck and Conn is a retro-inspired, single-player turn-based tactics game where you command a Cold War-style nuclear corvette — in space. Set fifteen minutes into the future of 1989, the game blends pixel-art aesthetics with tactical depth, drawing from classics like early MicroProse titles and the original Super Star Trek mainframe game.
Lead your crew through an endless war in deep space. Respond to distress calls, upgrade your systems, capture enemy ships, and rise through the ranks. Each decision you make — from combat strategy to crew management — shapes your ship’s legacy.
Whether you're navigating a full dynamic campaign or facing tightly designed standalone missions, Deck and Conn challenges you to survive, adapt, and command with precision.

Yep... it's MicroProse. If you like most of their old games, you should like this. Back in the day you would get a much needed manual. So, for a more current alternative I suggest watching the most Bob Rossian of Let's Players to quickly get started.

It's adorable.
Old school with just enough crunch. Early game has you assigned to relaxed patrols in friendly territory where you're pinging merchants, running down leads and mostly waiting for someone to cry for help, then a few patrols later you're on fraught missions deep in enemy territory running through dust clouds hoping you've lost those hunting you. Really enjoying my time with it. decoiled my engines with a misclick and almost blew everything up, went up toe to toe with a ship twice my size, nuked it to pieces.
This is a neat and enjoyable little game. It has a great naval combat theme to it, and it scratches the 'Master and Commander' itch in a sci-fi way. I don't think it's meant to be as deep as people are expecting it to be. You go out on patrol, hunt the enemy ships, and sink, burn, or take them aprize. It may go deeper than that, but only time will tell. Well worth the price in my opinion.
Feels unfinished. Very slow animations too.
Fun to figure out. A mix of 688 and Das Boot (old game). Currently has too few mission types, but fight is already interesting. Energy management, signals and different weapon focus. Currently is slightly buggy, but otherwise great fun for this price. Keep up the good work and give us more mission types.
My idea of cozy games is probably a little different to others, but this feels very cosy to me. I love turn-based tactics and strategy, with this game offering chill or dramatic sessions based on your choices along with way. Want to just fly around and enjoy the scenery, can do; want to push your luck with your little corvette against the destroyers, gor for it! (since v1.1) Easy to pop-in make a few moves, save and get back to it later, no pressure.
Too much potential of this game was wasted. Game is too short, I would like longer experience with more types of missions, ships, components.
Needs more contents, but it's funny
