Reaping souls of the dead and punching a clock might get monotonous but it's honest work for a Crow. The job gets lively when your assigned soul is stolen and you must track down a desperate thief to a realm untouched by death - where creatures grow far past their expiry.

Reviews
This game didn’t click for me, I stopped playing at the second boss, but I can see that this game appeals to a certain audience that isn’t me and therefore I will give it a positive review. My personal negatives: Combat is really easy, I only died once or twice, the basic enemies are boring and weak, but the core combat system is alright, kind like a dumbed down combination of hades and souls like if that makes sense? Puzzles are brain dead easy, I would go as far as saying they’re not really puzzles, more so just finding an angle to hit a switch (or otherwise) with whatever new ability the game has given you, so you can go open a door to another puzzle. (There’s maybe one or two engaging puzzles, but even those only took a minute max.) My positives: Great art and atmosphere, really charming style and characters all in a cool world with a fun concept. Didn’t play the whole game, so I cannot say much about the story, what I played wasn’t anything special but was for the most part, enjoyable, and as I said, the world is well established. Music is good, fits the atmosphere of the areas well, even has a few bangers in there. Wasn’t for me, but i see the passion that was put into it and clearly there’s an audience this appeals to.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Death's Door was an enjoyable game, with the combat not being too hard making it good as an introduction to the genre or as a laid back game. The art style and music were good, controls felt good though it would of been nice to have something like an aiming laser to help show where my ranged equipment would hit. My only gripe with the game is towards the end after the initial completion where you go for the 100%. There are a few ways to get hints for the collectables and trinkets but it led to a lot of backtracking between locations, especially since there was no map and fast travel from the doors was spread out. Alongside with that there were no hints in regards to a few parts such as the ghosts in the cemetery leading me to spend a ton of time wandering around trying to figure out what I was missing to the point where I had to look it up online to find out what I actually had to do. The amount of time I spent wandering around clueless and having to look up online to get an idea of what's needed left me more annoyed than satisfied with completing the game entirely.
Ironically, as a reaper of souls, you'll die a lot — and it's great! Beautiful & cleverly designed environments, enticing mysteries, fantastic music, enjoyable NPCs, a great story, and a simple yet sharp combat system that feels rewarding. There's no map, so you have to stay attentive, but shortcuts are everywhere and progression and saves are paced thoughtfully. This especially makes the post-game much easier to traverse. If you're a completionist, I highly recommend a guide because it's incredibly easy to overlook secrets, yet satisfying to uncover, and it'll also help with the post-game section, which has a lot less direction for the player. An awesomely memorable indie Souls-like that gives tremendous value and leaves a solid impression!
Recommended
Death's Door is an incredible achievement, especially when you realize it was made by a core team of just two people. If you're looking for a "Dark Souls Lite" experience with great writing and tight gameplay, this is an easy recommendation—even if it doesn't quite hit "masterpiece" status for me. The Good:

Engaging Combat: The combat is fantastic. It’s just a hair difficult, forcing you to actually master your tools and magic to overcome enemies without ever feeling like there are unfair difficulty spikes.
Clever Puzzles: The dungeon design is great, with the puzzles in the Act 3 fortress being a particular standout.
Excellent Writing: The game strikes a brilliant tonal balance. It manages to be quirky and charming while simultaneously telling a sobering, meaningful story about the necessity of death.
Solid Atmosphere: The soundtrack is good and fits the world well, even if it didn't completely steal the show for me.
The Bad:

No In-Game Map: My one and only real complaint. The lack of a map made navigation very frustrating at times, especially when trying to backtrack or clean up collectibles.
Final Verdict: 8.5/10. An amazing, tightly-crafted isometric adventure that is absolutely worth your time.

Great gameplay, great story, great humor, great combat! Great!
if you liked hollowknight, another crab's treasure, or hades, you might really enjoy this.
