Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Sep 8 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was really digging the game when I first played it, but I felt something was a miss. I heard they cut content and made the game easier, so I looked into the OG version still on Steam. I then proceeded to fall in love with that version and play it for over 100 hours. DRDR is a good example of a very poor remaster/soft remake. The graphics are spruced up, which is nice, and the controls/combos are more streamlined, which is great, but the difficulty is completely trivial; Dead Rising has the unique edge when it comes to goofy zombie killing fun paired along side bone crushing difficulty. They also removed content in the form of censorship. Now, you can white knight it all you want, that removing the erotica category or making Clint not mention Vietnam is being weird and picky, but the fact of the matter is they removed content, thus making this version not the definitive version a remake of this caliber should be. Either be a full on re-imagining like Silent Hill 2 or just be a spruce up like System Shock 2. Being a spruce up but also changing things is a worst of all worlds, plus the zombie count is lowered to accommodate the graphical bump, which should be a crime. Cannot recommend. Play the OG, it might be unbelievably, unforgivable difficult, but that is the intent and nothing was sacrificed in the process

13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Goofy fun game but looks like alot was removed from its original take which is disappointing
Put it on sale right after they put Enigma in it to destroy performances.
Just go play the original.
Ok .. boy gonna dig into this frozen pizza even though i never reviewed the original DR1 on PC. first i will say i enjoyed this remake for what it does , but i can't recomend it since the ORIGINAL DR 1 is still available for just 9.99 on steam itself. and some things do annoy me with this remake enough that i likely won't replay it as much as i replayed the original ( keep in mind i played the original on xbox 360 back in 2007 , and i also bought the PC release of it on steam back a few years ago ) boy did the original take forever to make it to pc , which makes this remaster even odder. but on to the review.. the ultra annoying: Character changes : jessie's body proportions changed to make her less sexy, Frank's changes make him look way older (like mid-late 40's old when he looekd about late 20's early 30's in OG DR). and the worse... changing the butcher from chinese american to a caucasian american. just why ? voices: so many voices redone it might as well been a remake not a remaster , why could they not keep the OG voices ? removal of Picture genres: more specifically the erotica genre. i had to mod it back in and the mod for it , scraps a newer genre making certain things impossible to complete. but it's Woke BS as to why the genre was scraped at all. why do they need to "correct" a game's design aspect in a remaster ? again why not do a full remake if that is your objective. price; even on sale , i had to toss down 30 bucks for a game I already owned on steam , and xbox 360 , but i wanted to see what graphical improvements they did and i do love this series a bit too much. not enough of a graphical update : while pretty ( see positives) , i feel this update wasn't quite enough .. it offers DLSS/FSR/XESS but unles you got acomplete fossilized dinosaur of a potatoe for a PC. these techs seem kinda pointless for this game .. it offers no RT and even at max settings with out dlss , it's only using 5.90 GB of vram (which is odd since i got textures set to HIgh 8GB) . it begs the question why this remaster even exist ? even the RE remakes got some kind of RT usage . idk , maybe it's there and just "always on" and there no options for it , but if so i'm not seeing it , not with that low of vram usage. the good : The story stayed the same as it's just a remaster; The graphic updates are obvious and it is pretty , but i'd argue the original was still pretty itself even if just a little behind today's standards. the PC version even more so since it too supports higher resolutions. you can move while shooting . one of the only draw back to the original , is the in-ability to shoot guns on the go . but let's be honest ...{spoiller warning} most of us just used the clown psycho's hand chain saw , or the katana . you can make short work of the game with either of those two and never goof with the guns. the clown's hand chain saw even more so , as they constantly spawn at the rollercoaster and you can nab two books (engineering and crime ) to make the chainsaw last 6 times as long. it such an OP weapon. but any way if you like to run and gun, the remake has that. no more stopping to shoot smarter AI: the biggest reason to get this remaster .. the survivors you have to save , are much smarter. they get stuck less , follow you better , and if you give them a gun like the shot gun , they won't constantly shoot lead up your ass trying to shoot zombies you are actively fighting and instead aim for ones that you aren't engaging. so that sums it up . I love the OG dead rising but quite a few nitpicks leave me unable to really rate this remaster very high, i'd give it a 7 outta 10 or 70% outta of 100% which every system you prefer. it's not a bad experience , but capcom's modern meddlings for the thumb sucking neon hair colored crowd brings it down some. if you don't mind self censorship and erasure of "history" by all means get this version. however , if you want to play old games the way the OG dev's intended them , save yourself 40 bucks a use the store search to find the OG Dead rising , for just 9.99. PS: i'll do a review of the original DR soon.
REFUNDED IT. And that makes me pretty sad, because I had really high hopes. It's pretty much unplayable. Laggy, janky audio and movement. In areas that are not even dense with zombies, Frank would jump and it would be in like slow motion because of the lag. I lowered settings and did all that and it was still crap. From the little bit I did get to play, i was enjoying it though, so this sucks. Shame on Capcom for releasing this lazy piece of crap. A remaster it is not. Dead Rising: Degraded Edition
They took everything fun from the original and got rid of it. Not worth it at full price. Not worth it on sale. Not worth it at all.
this aint worth it, just play the original, its better (they didn't even fix the bugs or improve the ai, its really just a new wrapper and one that is not worth the price.)
The game looks great as the new RE engine is beautiful and is really the main selling point for this game, in terms of the censorship... well the censorship is extremely noticeable if you've played the original game to the point they completely ruined the aesthetic of a whole boss fight, Cliff in this game just comes across like a bumbling madman and feels so off. In the original he loses his granddaughter and it spirals him into some delusional PTSD taking him back to his time in the Vietnam war, so his boss fight and dialog shows him reliving his tactics and time from that war which was an incredibly well done, in this version he still loses his granddaughter but he just rambles mad man ♥♥♥♥ at you and just does all this Vietnam tactics..just because. Just feels unnecessary. They made the game extremely easier since they updated the controls to feel more in line with modern standards which I understand but I feel makes the game far too easy, same with the Survivor AI, The Ai are smarter and actually reliably follow you and try and stay alive which is good but makes me miss the difficulty of the original, because they were more stupid and constantly required you to help them, it made it feel more challenging to manage them and escort them which also gave me a sense of urgency to get them back to the safe house as quick as possible or risk taking them into a boss fight due to time restriction. In this version I happily just rounded the survivors like cattle and barely worries about them. The voice acting doesn't bother me as much as others but the new voice actor for Frank doesn't feel good and I don't get why they didn't get the original voice actor back as apparently his is actually close to Franks age in the game so it still would have fit perfect. Plus I hate the fact they made his character model hilariously ugly in this remaster everyone else looks a lot better and still fit but they made Frank butt ass ugly for some reason. I honestly don't really recommend this game as the original still hold up extremely well and is filthy cheap compared to this version
