Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Sep 8 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
+ Has helpful quality of life features (fast forwarding time, moves are easier to pull off, flying dodge is significantly improved) + Survivor AI is improved + Character models are overall well-made - Voice acting is noticeably worse - Unnecessary censorship - Graphics are "better" but lose the original art style's charm and identity - $49.99 price tag is ridiculous considering the original only costs $9.99 Overall a mixed bag that fails to replace the original for beginners looking to get into the Dead Rising franchise, but succeeds in offering a new way for longtime veterans to re-experience Dead Rising If you want to play Dead Rising for the first time, buy the original If you have already beaten Dead Rising and want to experience it again with a fresh coat of paint, buy the Deluxe Remaster on sale
if there wasn't censorship it could be a perfect game.

13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
ENG / RUS

HE WAS THE ENVY OF THE ENTIRE west WORLD
Contrary to the skeptical sentiments of some of the audience, the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (DRDR) is hardly a failure. Yes, there aren't many sensible changes here, but it's still the same solid action game, wrapped in the modern Unreal Engine 5. The only question is whether the price tag justifies such an update. DRDR takes a step towards new players, eliminating the need for them to learn the game through trial and error, taking into account at least the fact that auto-saves have appeared in the game, even if they don't always work as they should. Survivors are now willing to share information about the location of valuable weapons and PP stickers, and the game easily explains the location of customization items and shows the level of damage to handguns. Such improvements make exploring the famous Williamet shopping Center more comfortable. In addition, the visual update has benefited the world: the prettier textures and effects are pleasing to the eye, while the game demonstrates good performance even on medium configurations. But Frank West's model seems to have aged a little. The time rewind feature is another useful innovation that allows you to effectively plan your passage, especially when hunting for the "7 Day Survivor" achievement. However, it was not without a fly in the ointment. The price of DRDR seems somewhat overpriced, considering that gameplay is still the same constrained and linear 2006 Dead Rising. Localization problems also spoil the impression: in the Russian version, there are critical errors that lead to freezes and the need to restart the PC manually (I personally encountered twice). But of course, the most annoying thing is the behavior of artificial intelligence, which leaves much to be desired: psychopaths fall into a stupor during the battle, then demonstrate unpredictable aggression (and it won't be difficult to defeat them with some kind of standard cop pistol), while the survivors still scream, whine, and expose themselves to Frank. How could this problem be fixed? Yes, at least sometimes highlight the zones before moving to another hall or street, so that you know that everyone is following you, so that you don't have to run back and forth like a moron, so that some of the survivors don't get eaten by zombies. But as mentioned above, the main feature and at the same time the jamb of DRDR is the preservation of linearity and the need to memorize the location of objects. No matter how many years have passed since 2006. And although the game allows you to distract from the plot tasks in case of failure by exploring Williams, there is no choice of game mode (for example, hardcore or zen as in Dead Rising 3). it seems like an omission. The lack of tags for secret survivors and psychopaths deprives an unprepared player of a significant part of the content, and many people are unlikely to want to replay the game with constant calls from Otis. In conclusion, the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a good way to get to know the 2006 classics, but subject to purchase at a discount. The game has a certain charm, but Capcom could have squeezed more out of it.
The zombies are so passive you can basically just walk through the game. The blood and gore looks less realistic. Also I'm probably the only person who cares but I hate that they didn't update Carlito's orphan list to include Nick and Diego from Dead Rising 3. Buy the original instead. Much better value for money
Keeps locking up, keeps crashing to desktop and then the crash reporter locks up. I love the game, but I can't play the damn thing with any reliability.
After spending a good amount of time with this game, I can honestly say that I enjoy it more than the original. That's not to say the original Dead Rising is bad, but there are a number of things that make it frustrating to play; and it always annoyed me that the community solution to those things was often "burn your first playthrough and kill zombies to hit level 50 before you start for real". I look at this game through the same lens as something like Black Mesa or the Dead Space remake. It's a good remaster. Looks better, has some nice quality of life, and is overall more accessible for the casual player. Yes, some things have changed in the remaster and I enjoy some more than others, but none of it ever made me want to avoid playing this game. In fact, unlike the original, I was actually excited to jump back in for another playthrough after finishing it the first time. To address the elephant in the room, yes some of the changes are "censorship" but I generally don't think it takes away from the game. The remove of the erotica photo category is totally fine with me, I'm here to survive a zombie outbreak not to take upskirt shots. Larry being changed from a blatant racist stereotype isn't something I minded at all because not only does it not take away from his character, I actually think the guy is more intimidating now. The new design for Larry is a tank, this guy huge, and combined with his friendly personality, I think he's more intimidating in the remaster. The only place where I feel like the censorship is a bit misguided is with Cliff. Cliff was a Vietnam War veteran suffering from PTSD in the original game. While this backstory isn't explicitly taken away from him, the changed dialogue makes is so you wouldn't know without outside knowledge. This is a shame to see because Cliff's tactics while fighting you are directly connected to the type of guerilla warfare used during the Vietnam War. At the end of the day, he is still an option psycho and I don't think the change ruins the game, but unlike other pieces of censorship in this game, I can see why this one upsets some people. Overall, I think if you're wanting to check out the Dead Rising franchise and start from the beginning, this is a better place to start than the original first game. I still think the original is worth playing, and it'll forever have a place in my library, but I think this is just a more accessible and enjoyable experience for anyone new to the franchise. I'd recommend giving it a go and then checking out the original after.

The game is FUN!! Killing zombies is fun, the bosses are fun to fight, you can do a lot of fun things in this game. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is FUN!! This version of the original captures what made Dead Rising great. For new players playing a Dead Rising game for the first time, this isn’t a bad choice to start with. I am aware that not everything from the original game made it into the Deluxe Remaster. They made changes to some of the characters, mechanics, new voices etc. It’s understandable why people do not like this version due to that but thankfully the original can be purchased for much less. If they removed the original and made this game THE definitive way to play the game and the ONLY way to play the game then I too would get really upset. Both versions are on the store page. Having Options is a good thing. I wish Capcom would put other original games on the steam store page such as RE 1,2 & 3. Overall, I had a really fun time with the game and 100% it was a blast :3
As a massive fan of the original Dead Rising, it’s great to see Capcom give it the deluxe treatment. This remaster stays true to the essence of the original, keeping most of the gameplay, locations, and structure intact. The option to speed up time is welcome, though it does take away a bit of the original’s tension. Auto-saving makes things more accessible, but again, slightly ruins the focus on survival. I do miss the original voice acting, and some of the controls and collision detection can feel a little off at times. But overall, it’s still an amazing game, and a perfect excuse to jump back into Willamette Mall one more time. Here’s hoping Capcom gives Dead Rising 2 the same treatment next.
