Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wasted my time running around 90% of the game in empty large areas, I wont waste more on this review, Complete waste of potentials.
I'm kind of blown away. I think Daymare: 1998 is a diamond in the rough, and I probably wouldn't recommended to anyone but genre fans, but Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is an incredible and ambitious sequel that improves on the original in just about all ways, save one or two. While the first game is certainly rooted in survival horror with action elements, I'd say that Sandcastle seems to push firmly into horror action, and the streamlined combat (removal of special ammo types, singular reload action, only one consumable) gets rid of a lot of inventory tedium from the original. This might be a negative to some who wanted more survival horror elements, but I think it makes the combat a bit more frenetic. Additionally, there's a huge boost in cutscene cinematography, as well as focus on story, and the voice acting is mostly solid across the board. In fact, there are elements of polish on this game that make it hard to imagine the original was by the same crew, I think. Once again the sound design and the lighting are absolutely phenomenal, and the scoring is as brilliant as it was in the first game. I think the credits song isn't quite as mind-blowing for me as the first game, but it's still a banger, and Christina Scabbia is an awesome win for the project. There are a few elements that don't pan out as well, though I think mileage may vary here, and it might not be an issue for everyone. As much as I truly love the new heavy focus on cinematics and story, I feel like the game takes quite a bit of time to introduce regular combat. The initial hour(s) of the game felt like there was a lot of exploration, and even once you encounter your first enemy, it still takes a while before things really take off. It certainly sells the idea of "this is a dead facility that you are exploring", but the combat felt so good initially that I was eager for me. The second caveat is that I think the new combat mechanics are pretty rad, and it turns the game into a bit of a combat puzzle game at times, but given the new mechanics, it can start to feel like things snowball if you don't drop enemies fast enough. Enemies will grapple you like crazy, and it feels like maybe the game would have benefited with a dodge mechanic. You'll consistently down an enemy and try to execute them just for someone to grapple you and throw you off your pace. The first 75% of the game throws enough resources at you that it's not much of a problem, mostly an annoyance, but in the last quarter, supplies become more scarce and with insta-kill enemies being on the edge of common, it's a bit more frustrating. Lastly, the final encounter is pretty novel, and thematically, I love the idea, but mechanically, it can become very frustrating. Fortunately, the game stocks you to the gills with supplies, so there's no real fear of death, but, as with most of the combat, it turns into a bit of a puzzle, and if you can't make the right choices at the right time, you can be looped into repeating the same sequences over and over. I had to switch from controller to mouse and keyboard because I just needed the extra response time and precision to get through it. It's the only part of the game that really made me question the encounter design, but it just took some perseverance. I'd always thought Daymare: 1998 was just sort of a cool homage project, and it is, but there is something hidden there under the surface. Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle, in my opinion, proves that Invader Studios is not just a bunch of survival/horror fans, but competent and effective developers as well. At this point, I am really hoping they decide to push forward and continue to expand the universe (if that is their goal, anyway), as I think there's some really great groundwork laid here, and they've proven that they can deftly maneuver between different genres of horror and craft an effective narrative experience along the way.

Another certified B-tier buy-it-on-sale BANGER from Invader Studios with the energy of a background event in an X-Files season finale. Don't expect a retro zombie shooter, because this time gameplay-wise it's like Alan Wake, but not ♥♥♥♥ - freeze enemies to break their guard and blast ball lightning to prevent it from making more. The game didn't overstay its welcome, but it could have used a bit more enemy and location variety, maybe a crawling dude and more above ground sections, because it's mostly running dudes and evil lab back to back to back. Less interesting puzzles, but also less dialogue cringe ("Liev"'s performance actually makes sense this time and retroactively fixes his character in 1998).
I have a great time playing this old school game (2013 style). A bonus I recommend if you have an AMD card is to use Optiscaler, and force FSR 4; It will look fantastic.
There was clearly a genuine effort to create something good, but certain issues really stand out. For starters, the character animations look incredibly stiff and comical. There is almost no sense of impact when using weapons; the enemies are essentially just bullet sponges. While the map design and story are passable, the gameplay loop is frustrating: you want to go somewhere, but first you have to move 10 steps forward, then 5 steps back to pick up or update something, then 15 steps forward, then 3 steps back to do something else. Because the game constantly plays out this way, it unfortunately fails to establish a good rhythm. You could pick it up while it's on sale, but don't expect a high-quality experience. It’s not bad, though—I’d give it a 5.5/10.
I don't think I've ever been more torn on whether to recommend a game or not... I really like the combat, the frost grip feels really good to use with all it's different abilities and the guns, even though there's only 2, both feel satisfying and strong. I really like Delilah and I think her outfit is one of the best in survival horror. I like how she visibly gets more damaged through the game. The combat at some points was the perfect difficulty but other times it felt a bit too easy, playing on Hardcore. It managed to scare me really bad a few times, especially near the beginning, and even throughout it managed to stay tense. I never got the feeling of being overpowered or underpowered. Then there's what I didn't like... My god the ending was horrible. The final boss fight was genuinely one of the worst I've ever experienced. The hacking minigame is pure evil, it feels like complete luck that it'll even be possible in the first place. I'm so glad you get an unlock to skip it but that's only after beating the hardest version. It's not a huge negative but I do wish there was more enemy variety. The voice acting was really bad, some characters worse than others but overall quite awful. The dialogue writing was nonsensical half the time. The decisions Delilah would make were enough to roll my eyes into the back of my skull. I do think the game is more positive than negative though, especially being an indie game. And especially after their first game.
The game especially the combat is so un-balanced as to be not worth playing. Spend your money on something else
