Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is back in a remastered edition that features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects.

Really fun game, I love the wacky-ness and the characters and the setting! It looks amazing too, I really appreciate how true they seemed to have stuck to the OG game while making it nicer looking AND giving you the option for the original style! Don't be afraid to occasionally look up a hint guide, I got stuck a few times purely because I didn't menu correctly even though i knew the solution (theres alot of ways you can interact with objects in this game!)
amazing game, great story, funny moments, challenging but well made puzzles and really well played on the steam deck with the trackpads (if you set them to work as a mouse)

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Even cleaner than the fantastic original.
absolutes lieblingsspiel
masterpiece
An absolute classic from my younger days! I remember spending countless hours clicking through ever possible combination of items to find the solution and was surprised how much of it I remember from 30 years ago. The remaster did the game justice and smoothed out the rough original game to be more enjoyable to lookat.
eu joguei em disquetes no ano de 1990, e esse remastered ´´e na verdade um REMAKE, como todo remaster deveria ser. Nostalgia e muita risada. QUE GAME. Espero que faça, do the dig.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered — 10/10
An absolute point & click classic — and still one of the funniest adventure games ever made. Day of the Tentacle is one of those games that immediately takes me back to the golden age of LucasArts in the 90s. The crazy characters, the cartoon graphics, the absurd humor and especially the brilliant puzzles involving three characters in three different time periods are still fantastic today. The whole idea of changing something in the past so that it affects the future is incredibly clever, and some of those puzzles are permanently burned into my memory. What I loved: • Brilliant time-travel puzzle design • Three characters interacting across different eras • Fantastic LucasArts humor • Completely ridiculous and memorable characters • Wonderful cartoon style • Some of the most creative puzzles in point & click history • Excellent remastered graphics, sound and interface • Instant switching between the original and remastered version Double Fine did exactly what a remaster of a classic should do: improve the presentation without destroying what made the original special. And considering Tim Schafer was already one of the creative minds behind the original, it feels especially fitting that Double Fine brought it back so carefully. More than 30 years later, Day of the Tentacle is still funny, clever and incredibly charming. 10/10 — a timeless LucasArts masterpiece and one of the games that defines the point & click genre for me.
Recommended. A sharply written comedy adventure built on flushing items between three eras of history, whose gag density and clever time-crossing puzzles hold up completely, marred only by a few opaque solutions and button miscues. The humour lands as well now as it ever did. The plumbing-based time trade is the design's centrepiece, turning an entire mansion into one interlocking machine across centuries. Character work is the heart: founding-father gag chains and a mummy room clerk earn constant laughs, and snap-to-hotspot controls make the genre approachable. The embedded original predecessor is a generous bonus. Some puzzle chains still demand external pushes, and repeated wrong-button moments interrupt the pacing. The pixel-perfect visual mode is ugly by modern standards, best left off in favour of the redrawn default. None of it dulls a classic that remains one of the sharpest in its field.
