this was literally one of the best games i've ever played it was so fun and it didn't require a good computer to be able to play. Too bad the devs forgot about this game and the community completely died. I even translated some of the game when they were asking the community for help. RIP doi you were too good for this world
was one of the best casual shooters ever made (insurgency was as well) until NWI sold out to corporate publishers and made the tacky bloated garbage that is insurgency sandstorm and completely abandoned day of infamy

I wish I had played more of this when it was still active. Now truly dead, a lot of of the gamemodes are rendered useless - even with bots. A shame, as it had a very entertaining twist on the Insurgency-style of class-based combat and weapon customisation, coupled with the hardcore gameplay that made it a nice middle ground for a lot of players. Good memories, but a relic of a time gone by.
Selling a dead game knowing full well it's broken with the new windows 11 update, no updates and no talks, nothing This game need to be flagged for fraud Update: DEVs shown no support to fix the windows update issue so DOI is now abandon ware, Sad to see Yet this game is still being sold with the DEVs knowing full well that is does not work.
If you use Windows 11, DO NOT GET THIS GAME. If yo get this game with windows 11 the BattlEye Launcher becomes incompatible and the game will not launch. My only words to the devs, if you're going to make and market a game which was developed in modern times, keep it up to modern standards.
This game..was one of my favorite ww2 games. It's dead now, so save your money, but it was worth double what they asked at launch. Real shame the playerbase just..crumbled. Lack of updates and communication. A real gem now buried.
Half of achievements remain broken since May 2025 (weapon-specific kills and headshots) and there is no sign of any fix so if you're looking to hunt achievements in this game, please save your time and money. It's unfortunate since achievement hunters can help breathe some life back in old games. The game itself was a fun, solid close quarters tactical WW2 multiplayer milsim released when WW1/WW2 games were hot (Battlefield 1/COD WW2) but the servers in 2026 are a ghost town.
Killed by dumb decisions, one of which was removing Co-Op Queues (you could've chosen which faction to play: USA, Axis and Commonwealth) and making it instead you were forced to play all three. By doing so, they basically removed the possibility of playing maps by as different units, for example: Comacchio, it plays very differently when played as USA or Axis. NWI, truly the greatest mind of our generation: removing features instead of adding while also further dividing their player base. Also the special units (skins) are now paid, they're just cosmetic but they used to drop and be free instead. The flamethrower still has a kilometric range and it's still an instakill.
This game was amazing back when it was alive.
Excellent game. I had a blast. Unfortunately the player base is dead. I would recommend to the developers to just make it free and create map packs as dlc. Different armies have different guns that all act uniquely. It's more realistic than COD, less realistic than Red Orchestra. The power of the bolt action rifle is appreciated. I just wish it hadn't been left to rot.
