surprisingly still has an active playerbase. Although the game is pretty hardcore. You die extremely fast and all the maps feels like those 1000 ticket metro bf3 servers.

This game is fantastic. I loved it back in the days and its still one of my favorites! 10/10!

This game has suffered more or less the same fate as its non-Source engine counterpart. Both games are half-decent shooters, at least by early 2000s standards. These days (2026) there are much better shooters around. This game is not really competitive with newer offerings or even older classics with more staying power like DOOM. Even if you wanted to play, you would be hard put to find a server with anyone actually playing in it. So I cannot really recommend this game, though I recognize why it was formerly popular.
