Now I understand the mixed reviews. after beating the game.... there is virtually nothing left. in fact you are dumped back to before the final mission, its really lame. so many plot holes and story parts that are never filled in either.
Pros: Mech Dress-up. Fluid and robust combat. Fun and memorable Boss Fights. OST that slaps. Decent multiplayer experience. Cons: Cringe-coma inducing story. Laughably bad writing at times. More systems than your body has room for. More plot holes than everyone on earths body has room for. All in all it's a fun and enjoyable experience in an interesting setting. If you played the first game, this is almost entirely different. Some good, some bad. Mining, Racing, genetics, photography and even it's own collectable card game... there's a lot going on and most of it all feels unpolished and slapped in. But hey, you don't have to play those bits unless you want to so I won't be too hard on it. I bought this on launch as I was a huge fan of the first game. I do not regret that decision, it was enjoyable.

They made a mecha game feel like Sonic '06. I'm actually pretty impressed this game can be as hilariously lame as it is. Playing this game is like falling asleep with a fever while watching some anime you found on Netflix. There's so much garbage happening and none of it does anything of value nor does it make much sense. It's a showcase of horribly bland Shonen anime tropes and that's about it.
This game is a competent, deep and enjoyable game. It does divert from the original Daemon X Machina but from what I can tell, it's in meaningful ways. There is a party finder that does seem to have an active population still so you won't feel alone like the original. I'm heavily enjoying this game.
It's a pretty solid co-op experience. If you enjoy action gameplay and grinding loot / builds, it's really solid. The story's alright, it's serviceable, a bit fast paced for what they were going for I think. Decent amounts of side content and hidden stuff for some boosted play time. Wish the character creator went a little harder, but it's a mech / armor game really. Overall pretty solid 7/10, had a lot of fun beating this co-op mode with a friend. I don't really understand the mixed reception TBH. I still think about the game from time to time even though I beat it months ago ( this review being evidence ). If you're looking for a completable game to play co-op with a friend in a few sessions, I recommend it.

体験版と本作をまだ触って数時間ですが、、、 普通に面白いですね たしかに AC ライクではなくなったものの、「これ ANTHEM やん」ってなりました。 なので、ANTHEM ライクとして考えれば、ガッカリしないかもですね 一応スチームデックでもできるので、寝ながらプレイも可能 あ、でも体験版引き継ぎが上手くできなかったのですが、私だけかな？？ そこだけマイナスですね
