Had to wait long time for PC upgrade before I could run it with proper graphics - Totally worth it!

For a game that's almost 2 decades old, it looks surprisingly good. I mainly got it just to see what everyone was talking about, and I was definitely surprised. The lighting looks better than some modern games. Textures hold up. It's crazy to think something this old looks so great. Unfortunately, that's kinda the only good thing. Old games sometimes have problems with modern PCs, and this is no exception. You need to replace some files just to make it run, and the game's V-Sync doesn't work right. However, there is a guide on Steam that explains what needs to be done, and the V-Sync issue can be solved by using the Nvidia Control Panel, and I think AMD has a similar program. Also, gameplay feels dated. The constant switching of abilities is not fluid, some objectives are not made clear, and there are some other, minor issues. The game may look young, but the gameplay shows it's true age. However, If you want to see why everyone still talks about this game, then it's worth the sale price.

Damals als Crysis rauskam, brauchte man wirklich einen guten PC. Die Cryengine war einfach der Hammer und sehr anspruchsvoll was die Leistung des PCs betroffen hatte. Aber es gefällt mir sehr gut.

black screens then crashes on windows 11. you need to install a custom launcher to fix it. also there is no option in the game to change language so the games stuck in a language i can't speak. electronic arts should be blown up.

Это вроде считается культовым шутером, но я поигрался способностями костюма на первых двух лвлах, а дальше стало просто скучно. Прогресс не стоит на месте и сейчас, даже с ремастером, эта игра уже устарела, а не состарилась, как какой-нибудь первый дум или вторая колда.
