Almost twenty years later, Crysis still holds up really well. With large environments to explore, great enemy AI, a variety of ways to approach combat, and graphics that still hold up, Crysis has a lot going well for it. However, even though the first half of the game is great, the second half is pretty mixed; the open environments and different combat approaches are removed. In addition to this, the story is also pretty weak and never really captured my interest. Yet, even though Crysis has its fair share of flaws, if we're being honest, people were never really playing Crysis for the story or, in some cases, the gameplay; they were playing Crysis for the tech powering it. With that in mind, even though Crysis is a bit of a compatibility nightmare and still doesn't run great on modern hardware, the qualities that made it so memorable and influential are still very much alive. For those looking for a solid shooter with some of the best tech from the mid 2000s, I'd suggest giving Crysis a try.

Вторая и третья часть лучше.

It's not as good as I'd hope in the year of our lord 2025. I like my retro shooters like Doom, Halflife, Quake, and Serious Sam but man, you really know you're in for a dumb shooter when your health bar and shields refill with 0 resource management with maybe the exception of having to keep a rocket launcher on your for choppers and tanks at most. It's a point and click adventure, really.

Good game both singleplayer and multiplayer but as of recently, you can no longer buy this game on Steam. It is still available on GOG and EA App but god knows for how long before those are taken out too. Crysis 2 Maximum Edition is still available to buy on Steam at least.

I like the gorgeous graphics and scenery as well as the life-like ambient sounds. I'm not a super gamer, just an old guy that enjoys FPS games like Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Serious Sam First Encounter, Serious Sam Second Encounter, the Novalogic games like Delta Force Landwarrior, Blackhawk Down, etc.
