CRYMACHINA is a Hit or Miss game are pretty personal prespective games where some might enjoy some might found it boring (in some case scenario) The story was surprisingly easy to follow despite all the philosophical and sci-fi themes. It balances emotional character moments with its bigger ideas about humanity, grief, and what it means to be “real” without becoming overly confusing. The cast carries a lot of the emotional weight, and by the end I was genuinely attached to several characters. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s memorable story expriences **Story: 7.5/10** The combat is decent overall. It doesn’t have the depth of top-tier action RPGs, and battles can still feel repetitive after a while, but it stays fun enough throughout the game. **Gameplay: 5/10** World design are actually Great. The environments can still feel somewhat repetitive visually, but the game does a solid job creating a melancholic sci-fi atmosphere that fits the story well. Some areas genuinely look beautiful, and the overall aesthetic helps give the game its unique identity. **World Design: 7/10** Now for the absolute highlight: the music. Sakuzyo absolutely carried this soundtrack. The OST is phenomenal from start to finish, mixing emotional melodies with intense electronic tracks that perfectly match the game’s tone. There were multiple moments where the music elevated scenes far beyond what was happening on screen , and not to mention all the bosses music in this game are absolutely amazing **Music: 10/10** The voice acting is also excellent across the board. The cast delivers emotional scenes incredibly well, and the performances make the characters feel much more believable and human. Even quieter conversations feel engaging thanks to how strong the delivery is. **Voice Acting: 10/10** Overall, CRYMACHINA is one of those games that succeeds through its atmosphere, characters, and presentation more than pure gameplay depth. It definitely has flaws, but the emotional story, incredible soundtrack, and fantastic voice work made it a really worthwhile experience for me. It is a great exprience and keep in mind it will not be as amazing as other games with this price tag but still for me is an unforgetful exprience overall 6.5(or maybe 7)/10

2/5 Crymachina is a sci-fi anime action game with dated presentation and gameplay. I am surprised a title like this came out in 2023. Outside surface level graphics the game screams cheaply made anime action game, layered in an equally mediocre experience. At least the music is pretty awesome. One would have a better experience with this game if they likened it to an elaborate interactive music video. We’ll start with the best, the music. It’s Sakuzyo. Let’s face it, you’re probably only even here because of them. So turn the music up, turn everything else down, and let it be the primary experience. Trust me. Really a shame you can’t purchase the OST, because if so I’d just say skip the game and go buy that. Voicework is professional and sounds good, exactly what you would expect from this kind of game. Sound design does the job. This game is like 2/3s visual novel, 1/3 musou action game. The action portion is simple one-button mashing hack’n’slash. Doesn’t feel good though, hit response is poor, and there is too much visual noise to make out parry or dodge windows. There simply isn’t enough depth to warrant exploration of the combat options, but the game forces you to level up and equip better gear via unintuitive menus anyway. Difficulty spikes are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, mook enemies will 2-shot you if you aren’t at level parity, but at parity everything is a punching bag. The visual novel segments are the meat of this game. They’re EVERYWHERE and interrupt gameplay constantly. Some segments you can skip through dialogue quickly, others you can't skip or you're forced to skip the entire cutscene (bad). A lot of the VN segments are extremely short and instanced, so flow is poor. Altogether, a clunky, rough around the edges experience. Graphics are okay, but art direction is cheap. Environments and menus look good, character designs are awesome; that’s about all I can praise it for. The animations are unfortunately simplistic for a 3D anime game. Some textures weren’t rendered properly and scale poorly at higher resolutions. Non-humanoid enemies can’t decide what they’re supposed to look like, whether they’re excessively polygoned tron soldiers or texture stretched warframe monsters, both look bad. I cannot stress this enough, the cinematography is horrible! Reusing camera angles, only static cameras, and having a fadeout transition to every single scene change. Prerendered, artifact-laden 1080p cutscenes start and end just as abruptly, ruining immersion. Localization does the job. Some jokes are translated too much. I really didn’t like the subtitle position on the game screen when in battle, so I missed quite a bit of in scene dialogue. There are a few grammar errors. The story is conceptually interesting, but execution falls flat. Sci-fi robot crisis with a sprinkle of yuri-bait. Sounds cool right? The plot revolves around two aspects, human prototypes slowly regaining their humanity and solving the mystery of AI rampancy. I probably would have enjoyed it more if not for the horrible cinematography and constant immersion breaks. It has some emotional moments you don't really see coming, but its probably par for the course if you've played other Cry titles. At a certain point I couldn't really stand this game's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anymore and dropped it shortly before the finish line. Perhaps you'll get more mileage out of it.

Peak fiction.
Good story, music and art
