About
Experience the not-so-mundane life of a train station kiosk operator at Crustacean Station and ensure that all station passengers are safely sent to their destination!

Check each passenger’s ticket and photo ID before approving their boarding. Pay careful attention though, some of them might be faulty/forged/invalid! Do NOT let them on the train!

Seat characters on trains and shuttles, and assign each passenger’s seat to the correct vehicle, according to their ticket. Some passengers get along just fine, but be careful not to place passengers next to someone who might eat them if they’re hungry…

Don’t get fired! Keep up your performance metrics by processing and seating each passenger according to the appropriate guidelines.

Interact with a vibrant cast of characters and learn about their stories through station feedback, journal notes, and newspaper clippings.
At Crustacean Corporation, our philosophy has always been to prioritize safety and order to guarantee customer satisfaction. As long as you keep these tenets in mind, we trust you’ll do a crabulous job!

I'd definitely say this is more of a neutral review, but putting as positive as I can see potential. The idea of a Papers Please style game with a more chill vibe is a really fun one, and the art is very cute, the gameplay just leaves quite a bit to be desired. After over a week in game there has been no advancement on the game's mechanics. Still just a simple check if the name and picture match and that's about it, and from what I can tell there isn't much incentive to work quickly, which feels odd. After the first week the player is hit with a medical bill, which would have made a really good "goal" if you were paid per passenger processed. Might be similar to Papers but as far as I can tell it doesn't really matter how quickly you process the passengers, so having a system in place to reward you for how efficiently you get through them would be welcome. Even if it was more of an upgrade system to work towards rather than a bills system like Papers so to retain the more chill, positive feel of the game. I would also say the dialogue gets stale quickly. I had repeats of passenger comments within the same workday, as well as repeats of the pink notes given within the same week. I would suggest to just have the "important" characters speak to try to avoid this, as it does take you out of it to see the same comment about the lab being suspicious from three different characters in the same day. Overall it's a fun idea, and I can absolutely see the potential in the project, but as is it really did not hold my attention for more than about 15 minutes.
