Playing as Gabriel, a soldier who can use his own blood as a deadly weapon, you endeavor on a journey to fulfill a divine mission from the Sun God.
Uncover the chilling history and twisted folklore of Tormentosa, a beautiful but malevolent island. Traverse eerie landscapes, crumbling grand ruins, and labyrinthine streets as you peel back the layers of cults and blood sacrifice.
Blood is both your lifeline and your ammunition. Wield this new-found power against terrifying enemies and solve intricate puzzles, but beware: every shot drains your life. Choose wisely—survival hinges on your ability to balance life and death.
Upgrading the powers that leverage the lethality of blood allows you to deal more damage, fight for longer, and gain bonuses in combat. Navigate myriad weapon options for the right scenario and improve them through coins found in your exploration of Tormentosa.
Hispania’s disturbing fusion of historical events, folklore, and religious undertones creates a uniquely horrifying world. Face off against staggering statues brought to life and unravel a dark narrative that blurs the line between reality and nightmare.
Prepare to sacrifice everything. How much blood will you shed to uncover the truth?

really nice game, and for under 20 euro definitely worth it
"El mar never forgets..."
Great atmosphere, cool weapons. Not nearly as scary as something like Resident Evil but still a fun 10 hour game.

I tried liking it. I love the concept so much but some gameplay design and decisions are confusing. Enemies are cool design wise but are such a chore to kill. FOV restrictions of up to 90 degress is dumb, and you should think about your players well being. When playing on mouse a keyboard you'll easily get motion sickness at lower FOVs. Control feels unresponsive, one thing is to have a heavy or grounded feeling game, another thing is to have unresponsive controls which adds to the frustration of fighting enemies that feel like a chore. Perfomance is a nightmare. I don't know what it is but frame gen is unusuable there is too much ghosting. Delay also sucks. But even when frame gen is off the cross hair has ghosting and glitches the way that frame generation does, I thought it might be the setting turining on agan, but no, the game is just like that. There's this weird mouse smoothing in the game that when I checked to disable it wasn't on either, the game is just like that. Puzzles are decent challange I guess? I'm not too good at puzzles but I felt they were to complicated or they lacked information for the players to go about solving it in an intuitive way. That aside the puzzle feel like they're fluff used to slow the players progression and trust me the game doesn't need any help achieving that. The combat, movement, traversal, all of these are slow and unresponsive. That backtracking enhances these negative aspects. The art direction is amazing. The writing, horrible. Feel like I'm listening some MCU dialog. There is a clash of creative vision when it comes to the story and the writing. There is the original creative vision, the one that everybody in the development team seemed to be on board with. And the one where some a-hole imposed that the team coudn't say no too. Perhaps they had a lot authority or final say. I've seen this a lot in creative project and it feels like a clear case of this. Also I'm tired of experiencing story throught the "Tell, don't show method". Oh look! It's story_dialog23.mp3 paired toghether with some 3d models veguely shaped as people. What happened to enviormental story telling? Or just experiencing it? Perhaps this method really isn't that bad, and it's just that the writing truly just ruins it. (Just to be clear there is some enviormental story telling present in the game).
In terms of gunplay, this game is fantastic. The mechanic of using your health as your ammo is a welcome feature and brings in some resource managment to the run and gun gameplay. Also since different guns take different amounts of health, it makes you have to consisder which guns to prioritize. In terms of puzzles....its not great. Some puzzles are pretty straight forward like using objects to reveal a combination. But others have answers that are very obsure, like having to know how to play dominoes to unlock a gate. I do recommend this game if youve played games like doom or bioshock, just dont feel bad if you have to look up a guide for some puzzles
A solid but somewhat basic entry, a mix between Resident Evil and Bioshock. The Graphics/Environment and lore are very cool, one of the most detailed environments and presentation is overall high quality. And I personally liked the story, although is not that hard hitting. Gameplay is decent, the issue is that there is virtually 1 enemy in the whole game from start to finish. There are some bosses sure and a interesting "elite" enemy later that has some phases, but realistically the majority of the game is against the same basic enemy which does not do much besides slowly approach you. Gameplay loop is very PS3 era coded, and by that I mean its very basic, get somewhere, do some related task 3 times with some monsters/puzzles in between and continue. Talking about puzzles I enjoyed most of them, very solid, except the domino one. I enjoyed very much the music, sounds effect and ambiance. In general is somewhat of a 7/10, would have loved to see a sequel or a new entry with a gameplay/enemy variety alas.
Pleasantly surprised – the game starts off feeling like a Spanish bioshock, which is a good thing. The lack of difficulty kinda took some of the wind out of its sails – I played on the hardest difficulty and was swimming in “blood” - the universal ammo and health currency. The story though was pretty good and kept me interested, and the final chapter really shined. Good story hook, combat especially near the end was good. Recommend for sure if you like single player action/survival horror – the horror wasn’t really there, but the action and survival was good. Note to completionists - the game unfortunately has many missable collectables and points of no return, so you may want to use a guide if you only plan on playing it once and want to 100% it.
