About
Crisol: Theater of Idols is a gripping survival horror adventure set in the haunting world of Hispania, a nightmarish reimagining of Spain.
Playing as Gabriel, a soldier who can use his own blood as a deadly weapon, you endeavor on a journey to fulfill a divine mission from the Sun God.
Uncover the chilling history and twisted folklore of Tormentosa, a beautiful but malevolent island. Traverse eerie landscapes, crumbling grand ruins, and labyrinthine streets as you peel back the layers of cults and blood sacrifice.
Blood is both your lifeline and your ammunition. Wield this new-found power against terrifying enemies and solve intricate puzzles, but beware: every shot drains your life. Choose wisely—survival hinges on your ability to balance life and death.
Upgrading the powers that leverage the lethality of blood allows you to deal more damage, fight for longer, and gain bonuses in combat. Navigate myriad weapon options for the right scenario and improve them through coins found in your exploration of Tormentosa.
Hispania’s disturbing fusion of historical events, folklore, and religious undertones creates a uniquely horrifying world. Face off against staggering statues brought to life and unravel a dark narrative that blurs the line between reality and nightmare.
Prepare to sacrifice everything. How much blood will you shed to uncover the truth?

crisol is trully horriffing, not a as a horror game but for thinking of you as a total deleayd ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb ♥♥♥♥, i will list few examples of those, and honestly am in disbelief that either an option to toggle the yellow ♥♥♥♥ stain is not aveilbe or that it exists in such excess at all. In this game in witch clearly you can see artists had a vision compleatly undermined and ruined by aforementioned yellow paint, 1 you have lit room only lit thing anywhere in the surronding space you go in thru a window and the window yellow smears, like holy ♥♥♥♥ where else would i go why is this here, 2 a lantern lights up a ladder connected to some platform yellowish ladder mind you connected to said platform with yellowy smeared planks, dev do you think I will get lost on my way up a ladder? 3 and again large steps, huge steps, only things lit, yellow paint. let me get lost in the level let me figure stuff out im not even going to mention obnoxious writing i only got a taste off and main character having to comment on every little thing.

Very good game. Heavy inspiration and overall game vibes were taken from the first Bioshock, whereas the story is more on the Infinite side. Unlike the atmosphere, the level design and gameplay are more like RE Village and other modern RE titles. There are only a few minor flaws, which is awesome for the AA project. Firstly, the weapon balance. You will mostly only use the pistol, the first weapon. Other weapons either take too much blood to use constantly or do not have enough impact. I'm not saying they are useless, but the majority of the time the pistol is too universal to ignore. Secondly, the save point locations. On other difficulties, it may be better, as the autosaves are active, but on Martyr difficulty, they are spread very thin around the map, and in the first part of the game especially, there are times where you have to replay big chunks of a chapter if you accidentally died. It is more frustrating than difficult, so I still had to mention it. Despite those aspects and occasional drops in FPS, it is a very good experience. I personally enjoy very much that Spanish developers time and time again refer to religious themes, as was the case with Blasphemous and now in Crisol. Hope to see more similar projects from Vermila Studios. Highly recommend playing it. P.S. Some of the collectible achievements can glitch.
I absorbed a chicken's blood and heard it calling my name from the afterlife
best story game oat
The game wasn't bad, the best part was the final chapter. The theme was cool, but why were there so many unnecessary puzzles? It just got boring doing the same thing over and over again. I finished it just to see what it was like, but the puzzles... I totally forced myself to finish.
