Crimson Moon has a great foundation, the premise is right up my alley, and the visuals/art direction is stunning. However, in its current state, it is incredibly difficult to recommend. I can overlook some of the minor issues and all the general “jank” at this price. My main issues are the terrible and confusing progression, game breaking glitches, god awful camera (boss fights are broken and ruins the experience), and lack of fundamental polish needed to make the game accessible. The good news is that most of what’s wrong with the game can be fixed (and hopefully will be) with time. There’s a good game here it just needs some serious work.

I see a lot of bad reviews bcs of the game mechanics as ROUGELIKE, U need to understand that this games is build around rng and going naked in and gearing as you go.( in one session of 2 hours i changed 5 weapons - with diffrent arts) U can start with better gear after u won or found better gear, I played with Friend on Steam for the whole time and i did loose my gear but i got new one in like 5mins so its not like imposible to play as naked u just need to learn to Parry and dodge, i see a lot of comments on parry i think its to server lagging that timing is changing but once u Parry twice u get the feel if u know how to play. Theres the problem to connection but u just restart and u go on, It always crashed for us on the start of the run so we just ended session and started again, For parry its myb half sec later then normal(when i played in tutorial) So for 20$ and Indie Dev team its a great game with great future if they fix the connection issue, And for the keybinds we played on Controler(DualSense) 0 problem with it.
played like 20 minutes, getting a refund. the game play is very Clunky and compared to other games i play, its unplayable... not a fan.
i like it BUT!! i really really HATE that u cant chnage keybidings and that camera doesnt follow u also we need more maps and more variety of monsters like PLIS ugh!! PLIS CHANGE THAT QUICK also i could say this is steam deck VERFIED
game has an good feeling but the parry Window is Terrible small On big mobs there is almost no chance to parry an attack killing bosses and dropping no loot makes it feel unrewarding same for the Loot economy had so good drops on runs finished the runs but didnt geet to keep the items with like legyendary grade and 3 mods i would love to play like an endless run and not limited to 3 boss runs + endboss some of the boons makes no sense like the one with 13 % elemental damage for evrey 1 k souls i got 4 k on a full clear and who would safe that and not take a extra boon . For the Grafik really nice done 90 fps on 2k max settings game feels smoth had fun iin this 12 hrs
This game should've launched into early access. If that was the case I'd consider this a game with some potential, but since this is a full release with a deluxe edition and a planned future dlc I can't recommend crimson moon. There isn't enough content or replay value currently, if the devs continue adding updates I'll reconsider the negative review.
Fun game. So far enjoying the gameplay loop, getting into builds and experimenting with coop. The atmosphere and visuals are beautifully detailed. Combat is satisfying, adjustable difficulty available. I play with a controller which works well. My only complaint is the camera, in 9 hours there have been a handful of times where a wall or boss has obscured the screen. But for $20, this game is well worth it in my opinion.
Game is really fun. Especially with a friend. My friend and I played completed whole game and are now looking for the rest of the scrolls. There are also lots of different builds you can do. I'm using frost and its amazing. For only $20 you can't beat this deal! Highly recommended!
Gameplay is fun, but it took a while to get multiplayer working. Once that was good my friend and I played for 4 hours. The largest issue was the inventory vault was buggy. Then suddenly the crystal was gone after 3 hours. It has not come back so I cannot change gear. We switched to his game and after another hour his is gone. Cannot play anymore till its fixed, and restarting the game does not fix it.
