Its pretty fun. Kinda easy on lower difficulties, interesting how it plays out in later difficulties. Small issues aside like the camera and attacking with sprint attacks at enemies who are downhill making you "Hop" over enemies and miss the game is somewhat repetitive, but its not to bad. A nice 6-8 hour game solo. (I beat it in 6.5 hours on Difficulty 4, I am currently doing Difficulty 5) That's a nice rate of 3.34$ per hour USD. I will probably come back to it to try out Coop if a friend gets it.
Great game! Can we just not be disconnected at the final boss for the 5th time. Doesn't matter on hellish mode or standard still get disconnected. Still a wonderful game! Thank you.

Difficult at first but once you understand mechanics its get much much easier. Highest difficulty is only hard on final boss. Strongest build is to find a piece of gear with a boon that recast area of effect damaging spells (ITS BUSTED). I didnt try other end game build but I cant imagine there is anything stronger atm, The damage output is just insane and when you match it with an effect that increases damage taken by enemies it basically becomes one shot build (use spells only against elites). I think people are struggling because of elites. Against elites find something that increases your weapon / shield special attack. Dont try to meele - its weak. Use spells and kite them. Normal attacks are rather for trash mobs. I highly reccomend. Addictive at first but then it becomes repetitive. What I would like to see being changed: 1. Add second ring and amulet slot (unblockable at certain level or after defeating final boss). 2. Meele builds need support. I cant imagine beating this game without spells. Its just too weak against elites and bosses. 3. Add explaination about status effects. 4. More maps and interesting weapons.
I really tried not to leave a bad review for Crimson Moon because I genuinely love the concept, art style, atmosphere, and overall look of the game. But after 18 hours of playing, I can't ignore the problems anymore. The gameplay becomes extremely repetitive. The "new" enemies and routes often feel like nothing more than, "This time we opened the left door instead of the right one." There just isn't enough variety between runs to make the repetition feel rewarding. The progression/replayability is even more frustrating. A full run consists of completing three missions followed by a boss fight. Once you finish that, the game essentially asks you to do the same thing again—and then a third time to reach the final boss. The problem is that each of those runs has permanent death. So if you've already fought your way through Mission 1 and Mission 2, then die permanently near the end of Mission 3, you're sent all the way back to Mission 1 and have to repeat that entire run again. You don't lose everything you've accomplished in the game, but you do lose all of the progress from that run. With how repetitive the missions already are, having to replay the same sections because of a permanent death gets old very quickly. But my biggest issue by far is the PC optimization. After my second or third mission in a run, the game consistently starts lagging and progressively gets worse the longer I play. Eventually, my inputs can be more than a full second behind. The only thing I've found that fixes it is completely closing and reopening the game—which isn't exactly an option in the middle of a run because quitting means losing that run's progress like a permanent death or run abandonment. So I end up reaching a point where the game becomes borderline unplayable, my inputs are massively delayed, and I die because the game isn't responding properly. When dying means potentially repeating three missions from the beginning, losing a run because of the game's performance rather than your own mistake is incredibly frustrating. I've adjusted graphics settings, FPS limits, shader settings, and tried troubleshooting the issue, but the performance degradation continues. There's a game here that I really want to like, which honestly makes this review more disappointing to write. The art direction and concept are great, but the repetitive progression combined with the awful PC optimization makes it very difficult for me to recommend Crimson Moon in its current state. 18 hours played, and unfortunately, I can't recommend it right now.
good for 20 bucks ; camera issue and power scaling need to be revised ; why launch an other run after you defeat the last boss ?
a good fun rough lite game
The game has potential but needs a lot more work to be in a good state , constant disconnects and buggy interaction. Also performance should be better.
After six hours of playing *Crimson Moon* including some solo sessions -everything is going well: the combat system is enjoyable, and it’s interesting to experiment with different equipment attributes and the varied gameplay mechanics that keep things from feeling too repetitive. Visually, the game looks great, and the cutscenes give the bosses a more dynamic and impactful feel. The downside for me is the co-op experience: when launching a map, the non-host player almost always crashes on the first attempt. Furthermore, Player 2 can crash out of the map and get sent back to the spawn point alone while the game is in progress; when Player 2 is re-invited, the host is forced to restart from the very beginning, making it impossible to progress. If this could be fixed, I’d appreciate it!
Tem seus problemas, mas é extremamente divertido passar horas na caminhada. Oque mais me incomoda é a câmera bugando quando enfrentamos inimigos muito grandes, de resto é bem aceitável.
Can't change keybindings. It's 2026 and you can't change the keybindings in this game. I even played through the intro in hopes that it'll let me change the bindings after and the answer is no. There are different control profiles but I don't like any of them. I'll probably get the game again if they ever let us change keybindings but for now I can't recommend this. Ended up refunding the game as well.
