Optimization is really not good. Generic combat system, brings nothing new to the table. The camera is godawful, any type of fast enemy, the camera will be your nemesis. No weight to the combat at all. Feels like you are hitting your enemies with a wet noodle ( that makes a cling! sound )

This is a very fun and beautiful Indie game. Let me break it down simply why I rate this positive. At the time of this review I only have 7 hours on the game. I paid 17 bucks for this. I have had an enjoyable 7 hours so far playing with a friend. I paid 17 bucks for a taco bell meal and spent a terrible 7 hours in the bathroom. People are being too harsh on the game. Its great for what it is and I intend to put more hours into it.
In 2026, releasing a game without any option to rebind keys is honestly unacceptable. Most players today have thousands, of hours across many different games. Over time, you naturally develop muscle memory for essential actions such as dodging, blocking, attacking, etc. Forcing players to use fixed keybinds with no way to change them makes absolutely no sense. What makes it even more frustrating is that I genuinely wanted to see more of the game and keep playing. But for me, this is an instant refund. We really shouldn’t tolerate this kind of design decision in a game released in 2026. I sincerely hope the developers add full key rebinding as soon as possible, because at this point it should be a basic feature, not something added after launch.
Bad

------
01. Camera is terrible especially with auto-lock. Needs a complete rework. This will be the reason most people refund this game. 02. Stamina is used to sprint outside of combat, that is a no no. 03. If you are interrupted while using a weapon art / ability, it goes on cool down. 04. You cannot access the load outs when you join someones game if they are already completed or failed the first mission of the run, effectively making you do the run in starting gear. 05. If host picks up a lore scroll first, guest cannot, 06. Some enemies are considerably over-tuned e.g. Demons with blades for hands, undead Spear/Shield combo users, & greatsword wielding undead. 07. 270 degree attacks from trash mobs is poorly turned if they are going to keep the existing hit boxes. 08. Tyrigon forcing you to stand in fire if you want to do any melee damage during 80% of the fight is bad design. 09. Animations need tuned to allow for better timing of player parries. 10. Health potions / flasks are to far and few between nexus gates. 11. Weapon variety is lacking. 1H Swords (21), Axes (2), Polearms (8), & 1H Hammers (2) is it. No great swords, great hammers, daggers, spears, bows, crossbows, throwing knives (outside of consumables). 12. There should be pure magic or support builds for co-op. 13. Not enough 100% block shields. 14. Lore is lacking. 15. If your game crashes and you load it back up, you start with all your boons gone and no way to access the armory for your loadouts 16. Forcing you to use B / O for sprint on a controller is terrible. This requires you to take your thumb off the right stick to sprint and with the existing camera problems this makes for a poor experience. If I can't use L3 for sprinting I just won't sprint taking a very powerful tool away from the player. 17. Levels aren't procedurally generated. Leaving runs feeling "samey" and will slowly dwindle player interest. 18. Netcode needs work as bosses will just warp to their target in co-op mode, making it seem as if you have put enough space between yourself and then boss appears 3ft away from you setting them up for a melee combo. 19. i-Frames could be improved. 20. Most larger enemies and bosses aren't phased by your attacks. They have infinite poise. Devs could take a page from Sekiro or Elden Ring Nightreign which did this well. 21. Constantly co-op disconnects where both my friends and myself have fiber connections that are less than 2 years old and only experience DCs in this game, yet Elden Ring, Elden Ring: Nightreign, Battlefield 6, Code Vein, & the like do not have any of these connectivity issues. 22. Executions do not do enough damage when you finally break the trash enemy poise or sneak up behind the enemy to backstab. 23. UI elements such as quests and area requirements are extremely large. No ability to hide them or scale them down. 24. No field of view slider. 25. My 3x buff/passives Recantation sword was not able to be upgraded when I was level 15. I had to ditch it for a higher damage Recantation that only had 2x buff/passives. 26. Souls dropped per enemy are low, they need to be increased. 27. Enemies on fire / poisoned / sundered make it difficult to see the "unblockable" flashing red indicator prior to enemy attacks. 28. At level 15 I only have access to 2 angelic forms, and the original form is superior to 2nd form unlocked up to this point. 29. Many issues found / observed in preview builds are still present in the v1.0 release. 30. Quest & bounty rewards are not obvious and could be communicated better to the player.
Good

------
01. Dodging feels good. 02. No fall damage. 03. Good melee build variety. 04. Each time you equip a new piece of gear, the armor actually updates on your character. 05. Angelic form. 06. Boss fights are generally good. 07. Multiple lives per run gives you some level of recovery despite issues listed above. 08. Standard game price at $20 is great. Deluxe version not so much for what you get.
Crimson Moon i would say looks very good indeed maybe a tad clunky to play but nothing game breaking . Sadly though were this game falls flat is in the game mechanics for instance ( you do get a few lives } but if you die you go completely back to the beginning of the game not the area you were in but the beginning of the whole game i am like wtf so uninstalled and got a Refund unless those problems are fixed do not bother there are better types of games like this one out there ..............Not Recommended.
The game itself is good. The gameplay works. The vibe ? Pristine. There's some issues, sure ... But who even play this kind of game on a mouse+keyboard ? Get yourself a controller. Don't forget, this is a 20€ game. I've seen 70€ AAA release in way worse state and people weren't this mad at them lmao.
You can NOT edit key binds except for pre sets by dev. Turning your cam is like moving your arm in a barrel of molasses. Gameplay suffers imo because of this. L for mnk. Gameplay in general is ok, kinda jank.
I wish I could put into words exactly why I don’t recommend this game, especially because I don’t usually write reviews. There are a lot of little things that have added up to make my experience frustrating, and I think the biggest issue is that a lot of the game’s systems feel like they work against each other rather than together. There are some camera bugs during boss fights where the camera will just point at the ground or straight into the sky. When fighting larger enemies the camera can also get stuck on their hitbox, which makes the fight feel more frustrating than challenging. Not being able to change keybinds is also a huge bummer. Playing with a controller makes it somewhat better, but it still feels like something that should have been included from the start. The gear and enchantment system is probably one of my biggest frustrations. If I find a lower rarity piece with an enchantment I really like, I might want to send it to the bank, upgrade it later, and eventually use it. But when I do that, the enchantment disappears and I'm left with a vanilla piece of gear. I really wish there were some kind of system that let you combine or transfer enchantments between gear. For example, if I find an enchantment that fits my build perfectly, I'd love to be able to put that enchantment onto a better piece of gear later. Instead, it feels like you're constantly forced to abandon the build or playstyle you've been enjoying just because you found a higher level piece of gear. The Boons system is another example of this. The idea itself is cool, but getting Boons that seem designed around multiplayer when you're playing single player makes me wonder, "Why did I get this?" I'd also like Boons to feel more connected to the build I'm actually playing. I'll get a Boon that increases damage against enemies who are on fire, frozen, or marked, but my current build has absolutely no way of applying those effects. You'd think that maybe I'd eventually get another Boon that gives me a way to apply those effects and build around it, but that doesn't seem to happen. I want to experiment with builds. I want to find an enchantment that changes how I play and then build around it. I want better gear to make my build stronger, not force me to throw away the things that made the build fun in the first place. I want Boons to complement the choices I've already made instead of feeling completely random.
no keyboard and mouse support , it had to be the concor devs behind the game... the input lag also is atrocius , controls are janky and feel like trash its like a bad rip off of darksouls controls but with the concord slop filter on top so its just a no
