Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 29 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 is "committing to the bit" so hard that it hurts.
It's a sequel to a game series that doesn't exist, complete with lore and a fictional development team. It's a game where match-3 is used not just for combat, but for lockpicking doors, debating robots, and swallowing a bunch of diamonds in front of a notorious gem thief so that he can't steal them first.
It is, all genre elements considered, a match-3 survival horror comedy RPG metroidvania, and it's rad as hell.
20 years ago, Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion emerged as a smash-hit genre fusion, casting fan-favorite protagonist Jack Briar in a fast-paced puzzle adventure.
8 years ago, Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 was announced on the biggest stage in gaming.
This is what happened next.
A match-3 metroidvania--or matchroidvania --exploring the development of a sequel to a game series that doesn't exist.
Another wild genre fusion from the developers behind Clickolding, I Am Your Beast, and Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator.
A story about sequels, game development, and the horrible, beautiful things that happen when the foundation of your reality falls apart.
Part match-3 metroidvania, part choice-based narrative, part survival horror parody, part joyful wheel-spinning nightmare.
A game that could only work with a polka soundtrack, provided by award-winning composer David Mason (Dredge, Life Eater).

Puzzle Quest-style Match 3 meets some of the best comedic writing in games. And don't miss the auto-biographical elements about it's own harried design!
* Fun match-3 gameplay * Story goes in unexpected directions * Good art & music * Wishlist: * Some way to see which areas of the map have unexplored dialogue. * Show what traits block a path, so you don't have to repeat boards to find out.
Bizarrely, one of the tracks lifts a section from Final Fantasy 10's Seymour Battle Theme. Other than that the game is good though. A few enemies start stringing together abilities that do nothing but extend the fight if they get enough resources, but that's a minor complaint. I love any game that encourages me to replay events looking for minor variations and different ways to navigate them and this one delivered on that front. Lots of fun to unlock a trait on one path I can use to go down a different path on a previous event.

This is a great game! Took me 23 hours to and was a lot of fun. The writing is very funny, especially if you've ever suffered through '90s PS1 games with their Radical 'Tude. On one hand it's match 3 for combat and saving rolls, which is not too complicated but they do mix up a lot for each encounter. It's always turn based, no real time anything thank gawd. On the other hand it's a branching visual novel, fully invested in being a sequel to two games that were never released, and everything in the game is meta-aware of how they're in a cancelled game and how crappy the game industry is. By exploring different branches you open up new skills (traits) and get new items and upgrade mats. Honestly, I had to keep a Joplin checkbox tree note to fully track everything and would suggest something like that. If there's one failing in the game for Teh Casuals it's that it's very easy to miss an unexplored choice three levels down if you haven't been taking notes. This was absolutely worth what I paid for it!
One of the lines in the game's description is simply: Committing to the Bit. And yes. This game does commit to the bit. As it spoils early in, this game is the third game in a series that doesn't exist - involving Resident Evil-styled super mad science, primarily with dinosaurs. The game itself doesn't exist either. And yet it does. It screams its existence to you, deep from the bottom of a broken well. CRDM3 wants to entertain you, it wants to make you laugh, it wants you to feel things about what it means to be imperfect. And it wants you to consider what it's like to pour yourself into something - and all the glorious awful things that implies. CRDM3 commits to that bit. And it wants to bring you along for the ride. To laugh, to cry, to contemplate about a weird past that definitely existed and continues to exist.
This game rocks. Come for the match-3, stay for the cosmic horror.
Bought it ironically to play for friends cause of the funny name, stayed for what was actually among one of my favourite games of the year in the form of a casual gaming puzzle experiences packaged with a story that I didn't expect to be so cohesively palatable spiced with a banger soundtrack and refreshing gameplay.
I expected a silly, funny game for a day when I was sick and couldn't think. I got all that, plus a surprising depth of feeling from this little game. Choose your own adventure style of exploration, sending up the survival horror genre in an entertaining match-3 game.
