With its extensive Tour of Duty campaign, a near-limitless number of skirmish modes, updates and new content for Counter-Strike's award-winning multiplayer game play, plus over 12 bonus single player missions, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is a tremendous offering of single and multiplayer content.
OK Multiplayer, Awful Single Player
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is a game of two parts. It features the great counter-strike gunplay with the freedom of multiplayer servers that truly can elevate the experience with custom maps and game modes. This is where all the fun in the game lies. Most of the standard maps in the game are far too large and far too complicated to make standard multiplayer enjoyable. Pair this with rounds that last 5 minutes, and it can be a truly miserable experience. Then there's the single player campaign. This isn't the Deleted Scenes campaign which is its own game but the objective based campaign that puts you in a lobby of bots and requires you to complete tasks like rescuing hostages or getting kills with certain weapons. This campaign sucks donkey balls. The bots struggle to navigate the huge maps and it's just not a fun way to play the game at all. It's a decent way to learn the confusing maps, but that's about it. I'd stay away from standard multiplayer and single player, but the custom servers people have running are very fun, but very limited in what's available.
Deleted Scenes Review
As someone who plays Counter Strike 2 a lot, the concept of a whole Counter Strike campaign really appealed to me. Unfortunately this is a fundamentally broken game that had a lot of potential, but fails to live up to any of its promise. The first issue will be extremely clear to anyone who's played Counter Strike before. Fundamentally, CS is a game that needs to be played slow and methodically. The weapons have near impossible to control recoil if you're moving at all, anything except for a headshot leaves you vulnerable, and you cannot switch weapons quickly on the fly. So how does the game build its levels around these limitations? It doesn't. The game loves throwing 5 enemies at a time at you in tight spaces. This makes combat encounters extremely frustrating and if you can't get behind cover instantly or if you miss a couple shots, you're instantly dead. Checkpoints vary level by level but sometimes you'll have to replay long sections over and over again which gets extremely frustrating. The game also has a bad habit of spawning enemies in hard to see places, or behind you which is an instant death. The only way to get through some encounters is to die so many times you memorize where the enemies spawn from and basically prefire them around corners. This isn't fun and it feels impossible to beat some encounters on your first attempt. The game also is very stingy with ammo and health, only adding to the frustration. The game is also full of glitches. Enemies will get stuck behind things. In one level I wasn't able to pick up any pistol ammo at all for some reason. Boxes you need to move can be immovable at random points. Whenever I died and respawned my game would just keep firing my gun until I switched to another weapon so every time I died I lost ammo for no reason except the game being broken. The auto save feature is the one that did me in and caused me to finally drop the game after getting through 8 of the 12 levels. On level 9 I got all the way to the final encounter on a measly 2 hp. Of course, I couldn't find any more health so I figured I'd try and just give it a try since it seemed like all I needed to do was land a well placed headshot or 2 and I'd be fine. Well the game decided to autosave right before I got my brains blown out. Literal frames before. So now every time I respawned I instantly died. No chance at all. I did not want to struggle through the same level all over again for another half hour so I just said goodbye to this game. The levels themselves are actually really well made from a presentation point of view. There's lots of variety in both locations and objectives to do which is the only thing keeping me coming back because it certainly wasn't the gameplay. It's a shame because if this game was a little more polished, it could be truly incredible. Instead, the developers tried to make Counter Strike something it just isn't meant to be. A fast paced, shooter where you take down hoards of enemies. I really wanted this to be great, but unfortunately it fell flat just about every step of the way, and I just can't recommend it.
Prikol;)
想玩老cs我推荐零点行动,有单人,也可以多人 还有额外的单人剧情战役 原本的单人游戏太偷懒了,就叫几个菜逼人机队友和你一起打.......
masterpiece
Sem dúvidas é um excelente complemento para o Counter-Strike. Uma ótima forma de começar a se acostumar com a jogabilidade é provavelmente por esse game, principalmente para principiantes que querem entender como as suas configurações de jogo se comportam in-game.
