CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS

Not a Contra game, but it wasn't bad at 90% off. I needed a mindless shooter that I could play without thinking much about story or depth, and it delivered that. It is kind of a looter shooter where the loot is mostly trash, but once you get some good weapons, you could just upgrade them until the end of the game. Most of the main missions were on the easier side until the last 2 chapters, everything before that was just repetitive, but I was ok with that.

给好评是希望魂斗罗系列不死，因为这游戏总体而言是瑜不掩瑕的。 好在魂斗罗宇宙下的四个主角人设，故事背景都还不错，甚至有部分关卡还原了FC版。差在俯视角射击游戏居然设计成了数值RPG的游戏类型，不仅是枪械甚至装备都要去反复去刷取，还有稀有度之分。四个主角除了装备的词条以及专属技能有区分外其他都是相同的，可以使用同样的枪械，这点设计算是比较亲民。 但同时游戏单人剧情下的难度跨度非常之大，为难单人玩家的点不仅如此，甚至还有联机成就（游戏已鬼服）。关卡的重复度也相当之高，有些图在剧情模式下居然要刷3次。最让我无法忍受的还是3D逻辑下的游戏玩法使得高低差攻击变得异常困难，如果选择错了不具备高低差攻击的武器，单人模式下关卡的推进还会变得异常的繁琐。

Perfect example of a game where you should form your own opinion and not worry about reviews. I’m having a blast playing it. It’s fun. Isn’t that what games should be about?

Bad

I don't understand the hate. The game is great, taken down a couple notches by a mid soundtrack and uneven weapon progression. On the plus side it plays great, has 4 player online coop, you can turn off the music and play your own YouTube Contra remix playlist, It drops regularly to $5, and the lowest current price showing on AllKeyShop dot com is about $6. Get a buddy to play with you and you'll have a good time.

I don't know why this game got so many bad reviews, it's a cool game, gives back the feedback of contra, in a 3rd person / over the top shooter, looka cool, feel cool, I haven't met ant bugs, perfect on the go with a Lenovo Legion Go , I sure on Stam Deck would also be perfect, 50 -60 fps on 5 w tdp ... what else do you want ? I got it for a very cheap sale, under 2 $ , I am hunting now on sales for Operation Galuga

Contra is a classic gaming series, and this game is a disappointment; it's even difficult to recommend. I'll take away the positive aspect that it's cooperative for up to 4 people, which makes it entertaining and enjoyable, the design of their bosses is just as reliable as that of the original Contras and the weapon upgrade and customization system is cool, but overall the game doesn't work, and even less so as a Contra. Its movements are clunky; it's a reboot that ended up straying from the formula that made the Contras so special; the camera is awful, as are its graphics. The humor... there were moments where I cried with laughter, and others where I cried with sadness for having spent 5 dollars on this game. 3/10
