This is an incredible snack-sized deduction game - over in a couple of hours, getting clues from text documents and audio files. The audio performances are excellent - one famous voice made me laugh out loud, utterly unexpected. The puzzles here aren't trivial - have to read closely, use real-world knowledge, and make some slight jumps from the events you figure out to the clue-cards. Very satisfying. There are no subtitles for the audio, which is in british & US english. It's 89 pence - amazing.
I don't recommend this game to people like myself who have no appetite for QANON... which, in 2026, I think is probably most people. The depiction of NPR is extremely eye-rolling. Perhaps in a few years the game may be enjoyed without emotion. The store lists the game as being satirical, but it didn't come across that way for me. It certainly wasn't uproarious, and there were only a couple of things that felt like clear jokes. Politics aside, the gameplay is okay. I did find most of the clues had a logical solution, with the exception of a couple, where the year was clear, but I'm not sure how anyone was supposed to surmise the month. The story is mostly paraphrasing things that actually happened, and thusly isn't very interesting, other than the way events are connected to each other. In fact, I found that I could find the solution to quite a few photos by simply Googling the date of the real-life event they were based on. Unfortunately, the story is the only reward - it didn't feel as though I was investigating something as much as simply someone else investigation in chronological order. Still, if being an assistant to a conspiracy theory podcast producer is your thing, than this is probably for you... although it is short (but it does list it's running time on the site).

It's a cheap game for sure, but I overall didn't really find the detective work engaging or meaningful. To start things off, you're missing initial context about a lot of things that make the first set almost guesswork. A QoL that is missing but also very important was the lack of a voice transcript. It was difficult to understand what was being said. After some time once I got the hang out of it, most of the detective work boiled down to finding a keyword and googling the date to the keyword. Some of the events quoted here even happened for multiple dates. Overall, it's short and cheap, but I left finishing it feeling I could have spent my time better elsewhere.
Having played Family and Rivals, the previous two games by this creator, I decided to play through this one as well. I think I have to go with Family being easily the best out of three and this one, perhaps, being my least favorite, but it's still worth a play if you like deductive games.
A somewhat minimal experience for a very minimal price. Conspiracy can be considered an extremely stripped down version of the investigation genre - as you can see, it can be completed in less than a hour, and probably two if you're really struggling. The avenues of investigation are fairly minimalistic, with a collection of short documents and a handful of audio tapes to help you establish a timeline of events concerning the game's plots. Really, I found myself very uninvested in what was going on - most of the puzzle solving isn't really building a sequence of events, but matching dates and timestamps up with the vague names provided, and sorting them into place. I also find it difficult to get attached to the campy portrayal of conspiracy culture, which had already become quickly dated in the aftermath of the 2020 election, and even more bitter now that the absurd ending to the game is just kind of how the entire federal government behaves now. Still - it's only a dollar! I'm not gonna bother giving a thumbs down for a dollar. Every studio's gotta start from somewhere, and for every Conspiracy, there's the potential for a Ratline a few years down the road.
Feels like this game was made to support ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ conspiracies in a time when we need to ignore all this nonsense.
not very polished
Conspiracy is a good game ONCE and IF you can find enough purchase in the first set of clues to get five times correct. If I made the game, I would include a sixth or seventh time clue so that people stuck in the first part could make conclusions without finding every hint. Once the ball is rolling? The game shines. I played with a friend because I needed help with the first set of clues. We felt like real conspiracy theorists and the conversation was so close to the groups being satirized in this game. I would love to see more chapters and I'd pay for DLC, if that is what it took. The feeling of doing this without any help, as there are no forums or anything discussing this, made the experience so much more rewarding and fulfilling.
Quite a bit shorter than the 2 hour refund mark, but enjoyable. The gameplay is frustrating, yet thematic - the first step is the hardest, and as you make progress, the conspiracy unravels itself.
This was a pretty fun way to spend an hour or so. I think it would be better if the puzzles were less linear - it really feels like you can only solve the 5 or so you must at every step. Also, I found listening to the tapes a bit tedious to extract information. It would have been nice to have transcripts of them for quick reading.
