During the First World War, a lone French soldier must navigate twisted trenches, scavenge for limited supplies and solve complex puzzles—all whilst fighting for survival in the midst of mankind’s most brutal and horrifying conflict. CONSCRIPT is a new historical take on classic survival horror.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This takes some of the worst aspects of Resident Evil level design and amplifies them a 100x fold of absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Playing fetch for key items was one thing in Resident Evil because the maps were relatively small for running around in but has the concept now take to a entire map so much so one npc offers a fast travel service with how stupidly big the jpeg of a map is overall. I was close to the end of the game and now everything is taking a 100 years to get a item that this French R word of mental deficiency could easily blow a whole through a door with his gun or simply move around a box to get where he needs to go. Also I am tired of game developers saying "war is bad" and "killing isn't the way" in their games when they are hypocrites outright for making a game about having fun killing people with kool weapons and earning achievements for racking up kills. It doesn't quite reach the levels of Spec Ops The Line of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in being tone def but it gets pretty close. You don't have to love war and or killing to enjoy a stupid video game but game devs keep it subtle. Don't shove a AI generated photo of a wife and or children with each German soldier's corpse especially when you depict them as nearly faceless monsters with "most" of them wearing gas masks 24/7 with glowing red eyes that do not react to their allies that are dead or screaming in pain. For example, if you down one of the enemies and they are still alive yelling in pain with other allies around then their buddies will not care at all. Just transfer out of the map section and then come back in one second to see their allies go back to their normal patrol with their buddies still on the ground crying. What I am trying to say out of all of this is that I am starting to hate the French and if they just lost the first time in a world war then we might have not had world war 2...just saying :)

kinda like signalis but instead of hot, lesbian robot women you have dirty french men
Terror as it is, not actually, fun, tense, and you may contemplate the horrors of war, a capitain that expects too much of a SINGLE PRIVATE, and the occasional relaxing moment
This game is really a mixed bag. I want to love it, but the confusing map layouts, combined with some really tedious backtracking, even for a survival horror game, really hinders how good this game could be. This is also a surprisingly long first playthrough; don't expect something as quick as Amnesia: The Bunker.
So whilst I do recommend Conscript, I also wanted to get why I recommend it and why I don't completely recommend it. Mechanically, it is a great experience. I really enjoyed (possibly the wrong word) playing it. The themes are heavy and they rightly should be as it is trying to reflect WW1. It is able to capture the impact such a time had on both soldiers but also their families and loved ones multiple times. It felt tense when it needed too, somber when it needed too and down right sad at certain points. However, and whilst trying to avoid spoiler, the late game loses what the early game set up in my opinion. The puzzles still feel grounded in reality in the early game, but as you get into the final third or it felt more like solutions to puzzles were straight out of Resident Evil.
Perhaps this is the point as your character starts to feel the horrors of what he has witnessed more and more. But by Chapters 4-5 it starts to fall apart for me and while I still recommend the game, just bare in mind that if felt (at least for me) that the shift at this point takes you out of it a little bit
The biggest horror of this game is the fact that we play as French. And the lung cancer from all the cigarettes.

Невероятно стилевый визуал, очень круто переданный мрак и ужас войны, увлекательный геймплей и нормальные (хоть и иногда душненькие) головоломки. На удивление долгая продолжительность для индюшки, но это только плюс я считаю.
