Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

This and every other Pro feature is free until October 20, 2026. A free account is all it takes.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a rabbit hole crazily deep
Awesome game.
The most important thing: "THIS IS A MILITARY AIR AND NAVAL SOFTWARE SIMULATOR." This is barely a "game," more like software. If you're expecting something like arcade military games and don't have the slightest understanding of how real-life situations actually work, you won't understand anything here. It's easier if you already know how to use real equipment or have studied the equipment you intend to use. It's complex software, and this is the non-PRO version. The professional version is much more complex and has several important functions to simulate real war games. You practically need a military doctorate for each type of equipment you'll use. So you ask yourself: what's the point then? Simulating Real Operations is the maximum reality that software can allow. But this software offers all the possibilities of all equipment and weapons from WWII, the Cold War, and the current era, available for testing data and simulating realistic war scenarios. The only thing it doesn't have here is Chemical Warfare simulation. Of course, this Steam version is much more limited; for example, you can't modify the military equipment database; you'll need the PRO version for that. Therefore, if you served and know the equipment's privileged data precisely, you won't be able to modify it in the Steam version. Over time, the developers have added features from the PRO version to the civilian version, but which were later released in the Steam version, such as hypersonic glide vehicles (HGVs) and missiles. Another feature that came from the Pro version is communications jamming, but you can also emulate LUA scripts to simulate this function. This Steam version lacks the high-fidelity 3D sensor signatures of the PRO version. Ground combat is still limited in this software, but the developers say this will change in the future. Currently, I recommend VBS4 software for ground combat and Steel Beasts for tanks. This software is the closest you'll get to real-world scenario realism without having to break into the Pentagon to use their system. Note that it's not necessary, but I strongly recommend that you also purchase Tacview software, which allows you to view combat simulations and the area's geography in 3D.
