Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 4/day in the week after.

I love it, even love how unresponsive the AI is just like the original game, super nostalgic.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Losing the game to scripted waves of tanks because your ore miners can't pathfind to your resource building is not acceptable in 2026, sorry.
They say "never meet your heroes". Playing this makes me wish there was a subquote: "Never replay a 20+year old game you had nostalgic love for". EA (we all know they are the worst thing to happen to the industry so I won't go into that) calls this a "remaster" but... what does that really mean? The textures have been updated (veeeeery far from HD, but the original games were 8bit graphics level so it's something) and I have read the audio has been improved. The FMV cutscenes have been upscaled as well. Whoop-dee-doo. EA made a big deal about how the core game's code would be maintained - they even released the original source code as a gesture. Sounds nice in principle. In practice it is... not. I grew up with these games. I played them obsessively. I thought this would be a lovely walk through nostalgia lane. I wish I never bought this. I hate this. I wish this was never released. My nostalgic memories are now forever ruined. I now hate these games - not just the remake but the originals; I can no longer see them as I saw them back then. I don't care about your or their excuses. I don't need to be told about how things were back then - it won't make me enjoy it any more and it won't make you superior for saying so. I bought this to bring back the feelings of my younger days and all I feel instead is rage and disappointment. EA Could've tried to modernize this (at least give us the option to play a modernized and improved version, and switch to the original -- as they do with the graphics settings which you can switch seamlessly pressing spacebar). But they never cared about that. Desperate cash grab, but we are all, once again, their fool. Do not buy this if you want to keep remembering the original games as you do. I hate them passionately now. Thanks EA for again doing everything wrong and cashing in on it. Keep your memories where they are safe - in your head and nowhere else.

It's undoubtably the start of an incredible legacy and great remaster, but oh my god is the original C&C campaign bad. Poorly programmed commando missions where your only unit takes damage from using its own attack, badly balanced missions where there's no real counters to what the enemy uses, it takes forever to get any money from halfway across the map, and one tank will run over all fifteen of your grenadiers, so the last ten minutes of waiting are wiped out in 2 seconds. That, or they'll blow themselves up because it's funny to be frustrated by games. It strikes me as old-school arcade design in that it's meant to be hard for the sake of making you restart, rather than being hard because of the mechanics Mods for some reason broke the game for me, making me unable to place any buildings. They just refused to deploy. It was only a zoom mod as well. I'm certain there's some fun to be had with Red Alert and some of the other stuff, but man does this horrendous GDI campaign sour the whole experience. And looking online, it seems that that has been the concensus for 25 years. A real shame that they didn't fix the glaring balancing and AI issues from the original game. Go play RA2 or Generals instead
