A simple arcade style flying game, you can just jump right into it, the training mode is literally learning about a couple of buttons to press, then endlessly flying around doing nothing. Once you play the campaign, the missions are always simple, very short and they repeat most of the missions aka " destroy the carrier, destroy the fighters". Very little variety, some of the missions you play as a gunner in a plane or on the ground which was alright, but again the objective was " destroy the fighters". Using the mouse and keyboard to fly is weird but it works. Some of the missions get bugged out sometimes, like you can complete the objectives but then the game doesnt say you won or anything. Also the objective instructions was getting bugged out in some missions, it was telling me to destroy the bombers 1 second, then it tells me to return to the marker, and back and fourth but i already did it. I had to repeat multiple missions due to these bugs, it wouldn't let me finish the mission but thankfully its short. It does have different planes to use though and allows you to change the skin of them which is nice. They should of spent more time making this, its just not good, i was already done with it half way through, its just the same old every other mission and your AI teammates are useless and offcourse at times the enemy AI seems to only want to target YOU! I hate that. If you must own this, id advise on sale, don't pay full price for this even though its not that much, i don't think its worth it. There 100 percent are better flying games than this, i doubt your gonna want to play this more than once.

Destroy The Japanese Ships
Uninspiring. Not entirely terrible but ugly, clunky, cheesy, simple and repetitive. Devoid of any satisfying sense of history or the planes and pilots that flew it.
Şu anki fiyatına göre pahalı ama eğlenceli
Another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Interactive (City Interactive) masterpiece. Controls are awful, missions are repetitive, unimaginative and dull as dishwater. Buuuut, you must play it, it's the law.
Combat Wings is a World War II–themed aerial combat game developed and published by City Interactive S.A. that aims to deliver the thrill of classic dogfights through an accessible, action-focused design. Rather than positioning itself as a hardcore flight simulator, the game embraces a more arcade-oriented philosophy, prioritizing immediacy and spectacle over exhaustive realism. This approach makes Combat Wings easy to pick up and play, especially for players who are curious about historical air combat but hesitant to engage with the steep learning curves often associated with full-scale flight sims. From the outset, the game places you in the role of a World War II pilot participating in key Allied air operations, with missions inspired by major historical events such as the Battle of Britain and the conflict in the Pacific theater. The narrative framework is minimal, functioning primarily as context for the missions rather than a deeply developed story. Briefings outline objectives and locations, giving players a sense of historical grounding without interrupting the flow of gameplay. This keeps the focus firmly on flying and combat, allowing missions to move quickly from setup to action. The core gameplay revolves around aerial dogfighting, bombing runs, and escort missions, all built around a simplified flight model. Aircraft handling is intentionally forgiving, with responsive controls that emphasize maneuverability and aiming rather than strict adherence to real-world aerodynamics. This design choice allows players to focus on tracking enemy planes, lining up shots, and dodging incoming fire without constantly worrying about stalling, engine management, or complex instrumentation. As a result, combat feels fast and approachable, delivering immediate satisfaction even during shorter play sessions. Mission variety plays an important role in keeping the experience engaging. In addition to traditional dogfights, Combat Wings introduces objectives such as ground attacks on enemy installations, protection of allied bombers, and reconnaissance-style sorties where survival is just as important as firepower. While these mission types add some diversity, the underlying structure remains fairly consistent, and over time the repetition can become noticeable. Enemy behaviors and objectives do not evolve dramatically, which may limit long-term appeal for players seeking increasingly complex challenges. Visually, Combat Wings reflects its mid-budget origins and the era in which it was developed. Aircraft models are recognizable and functional, and environments provide enough variety to distinguish different theaters of war, though they lack the atmospheric detail and environmental depth seen in more modern or higher-end flight games. Explosions, tracer fire, and anti-aircraft flak add energy to combat encounters, helping sell the chaos of aerial warfare even if the overall presentation feels dated by contemporary standards. Sound design contributes positively to immersion, with engine noise, machine-gun fire, and impact effects reinforcing the intensity of dogfights. Radio chatter and voice lines attempt to convey urgency and mission context, though repetition and uneven delivery can occasionally pull players out of the experience. Still, the audio works well enough to support the action, especially during high-speed engagements where visual clarity and sound cues combine to keep players oriented. One of Combat Wings’ defining strengths is its accessibility. The game is clearly designed for players who want the excitement of flying combat aircraft without committing to a deep simulation ecosystem. Difficulty settings allow for some customization of challenge, making it possible to enjoy the game casually or push for more demanding encounters. However, this accessibility also limits depth, and players accustomed to detailed flight physics, damage modeling, and tactical air combat may find the systems too shallow to sustain prolonged interest. Replayability is modest. The single-player campaign offers a reasonable number of missions that can be revisited for better performance or higher difficulty, but the lack of robust multiplayer support or advanced customization tools means the game does not naturally extend beyond its core content. For many players, Combat Wings functions best as a contained, nostalgic experience rather than a long-term hobby. In the end, Combat Wings succeeds as a straightforward, arcade-style take on World War II aerial combat. It does not aim to compete with simulation-heavy flight titles, nor does it attempt to reinvent the genre. Instead, it delivers a focused experience built around intuitive controls, recognizable historical settings, and fast-paced dogfights. For players seeking a low-barrier entry into airborne combat or a nostalgic return to simpler aviation games, Combat Wings offers an enjoyable if limited journey through the skies of history. Rating: 6/10
Taki rodzimy War Thunder z ery przed War Thunderem. Grywalna rodzima produkcja z cyklu gier z kiosku "Ruch".
