It is very entertaining and has a good game play loop. Charms allow the game to feel not too luck based at most times. The game is highly unfair at times though.

I played the demo and was really excited for this game's full release, and quite rightfully so. If you like rougelites and slot machines then CloverPit is the game for you. That said, after spending nearly 100 hours in the game going for long runs, all achievements, I wouldn't advise that for anyone else. The final achievement grind of getting all cards holographic really showed me the weakest parts of this game. There are tons of synergies and "builds" you can strive for in each run but they aren't very unique in their ability to mesh with others. Runs that focus on using the red button are always going to want nuke, sacred heart, battery synergies and it narrows the scope of play down to a handful of useful charms and a ton of fodder. Same goes for interest builds, mult builds, 666 builds. Those builds functioning in different ways gives the only real sense of variety within the game. It's very much so a "solved" game. There are best strategies, there are bad charms and op ones and that's ok. I really enjoyed my time with CloverPit and maybe now the only thing left for me is a leaderboard placement.
