Playing this makes you appreciate how well designed Balatro is, in every regard: [list] [*] Art: Clover Pit is intentionally uncomfortable/horror-adjacent, but never actually does anything interesting with that. There may be some commentary on "addiction bad" in there, but without a story to speak of, it doesn't really resonate. It just makes the experience worse. [*] Interface: Clover Pit, despite needing a 1-input slot machine and a webshop UI, still insists on having FPS controls, with WASD movement inside your 1x1m square box, with the shop and bought items being physical things which exist in 3D space, but which constantly appear to change position as you buy/sell stuff. It's skeuomorphic to fault. [*] Gameplay: Whereas Balatro is a gambling-adjacent roguelike game, Clover Pit is much more of a straight-up gambling game. It's much more difficult to "deck-fix" in a meaningful way, and a large part of it relies on temporary effects which must get refreshed by having the right symbol+icon combo trigger. [/list] Overall, Clover Pit is merely [i]fine[/i], and it is very much possible to have fun in it. But I wish it was better.

Fun au début, jusqu'à ce qu'on se rende compte qu'il faut entièrement compter sur la chance pour progresser dans le jeu. Alors oui, c'est un peu le principe du jeu, et il y a des objets qui permettent d'influencer la chance et d'obtenir les symboles que l'on veut, mais il faut déjà énormément de chance pour construire un build décent. Je dirais que le jeu offre un ratio d'une victoire pour dix défaites, simplement parce qu'on n'a pas de chance aux tirages et aux rerolls des objets. J'ai triché pour voir la fin du jeu, et les conditions pour y parvenir sont complètement abusées. C'est possible avec beaucoup de temps, mais ça ne vaut clairement pas un tel investissement.
