About

One of 2022’s most acclaimed indies, the Game Awards-nominated Citizen Sleeper is a Tabletop-inspired narrative RPG set on Erlin’s Eye, a ruined space station that is home to thousands of people trying to survive on the edges of an interstellar capitalist society.
You are a sleeper, a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body, owned by a corporation that wants you back. Thrust amongst the unfamiliar and colourful inhabitants of the Eye, you need to build friendships, earn your keep, and navigate the factions of this strange metropolis, if you hope to survive to see the next cycle.

Inspired by Tabletop Roleplaying games, Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world. Each cycle you use the dice you are dealt to choose what to do with your time. Make or break alliances, uncover truths and escape your hunters. Survive and ultimately thrive, one cycle at a time, and sometimes against the clock!

The station plays host to characters from all walks of life, trying to eke out an existence among the stars. Salvagers, engineers, hackers, bartenders, street-food vendors, each has a history which brought them here. You choose which of them you wish to help, and together you will shape your future.

Eventually, you will learn to use your dice to hack into the station’s cloud to access decades of digital data, uncover new areas and unlock secrets. This is your unique power, and with it you can change your future. Corporate secrets, rogue AIs and troves of lost data await those willing to dive into the depths of the station’s networks.

Essen-Arp: to them you are just property, one more asset in a portfolio that stretches across the stars. You are the product of an abusive system, in a universe where humanity’s expansion is marked by exploitation and extraction. Escape the makers of your decaying body, and chart your own path in a richly imagined, deeply relevant sci-fi world which explores ideas of precarity, personhood and freedom.

Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world.

Each cycle you roll your dice. Assign them to vast range of actions available on the station. With every action, choose what, and who, matters to you, shaping the lives of those around you, and ultimately the future of the station.

Clocks track both your actions and the actions of others across the station. From becoming a local at the Overlook Bar to protecting a friend from Yatagan enforcers, clocks allow you to track your own progress and the influence you have on the world around you.

Follow drives not quests, allowing you to pick and choose the stories and activities that matter to you. As you do, you will shape your character's five skills (Engineer, Interface, Endure, Intuit and Engage), unlocking perks and bonuses that reflect and change how you choose to live in this world.

Citizen Sleeper now includes all three post-launch DLC episodes FLUX, REFUGE and PURGE, which expand the game and introduce additional characters and locations to Erlin’s Eye in an exciting new late game storyline.

Reviews
Citizen Sleeper plays like a sci‑fi novel brought to life, which is exactly the niche I enjoy. If you’re a fan of cyberpunk fiction in the vein of Bruce Sterling, Alastair Reynolds, or William Gibson, this world will feel right at home. What stands out most is the creators’ investment in the setting— It feels lived‑in, layered, and full of meaningful choices that branch into genuinely different outcomes. The future it imagines is distant yet plausible, making the experience thought‑provoking in a way few games manage. I sincerely hope the developers continue expanding this universe; there’s so much potential here. The mechanics complement the narrative beautifully. The dice‑roll system adds just enough unpredictability to keep decisions tense and engaging, and slipping into the role of a Sleeper feels surprisingly natural. It occupies a rare space between game and novel, offering the immersion of a book with the agency of a tabletop RPG. The soundtrack deserves mention too—calm, atmospheric, and perfectly tuned to the quiet isolation of life in space. If anything, I only wish the story reached further into the broader universe the creators have hinted at. Still, it’s a strong foundation for what could become a long‑running series. 5/5. Highly recommended—and I hope this world continues to grow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A touching game that really made me invested, one that I wish could have just kept going and going further, even after it was done, It is story driven so I cant disclose too much, except maybe that I feel like I needed a "hard" difficulty option at times due to overly effective planning.

Amazing Story wow 10/10 I usually dont like these types of games but this one had me hooked into a full 14 hour binge of the game.
Clamoroso! Storia, flusso di gioco, progressione, scelte... peccato per l'assenza dell'italiano; alcuni personaggi/descrizioni per me sono stati difficili da comprendere. Il senso generale, tuttavia, è sempre stato chiaro.
amazing game with great art and captivating writing, so good i bought a real copy for both myself and a friend after beating it on a pirated version just to support the devs. excited for their next game
This game was super fun to play. I own it on switch to (physical). I'll get to why in a bit. If you like dialog heavy, point and click adventure this game is for you. If you don't like it, pass it along and don't hate it on just because that isn't the type of game for you. I think this a great game, with cool character art. I would even say it's along the lines of a visual novel but I enjoyed it more than Florence or Slay the Princess. It's also not a super hard game (if you are looking for difficulty level like Baldur's Gate 3 I would pass). I've never played a ttrpg, the closet is BG3. As I write this I've nearly gotten ever achievement (2 left). I even played it while at work (I work in a call center). You have time to think about your decisions, which is fantastic and you can put it down at any point if you have to get up and do something. This to me makes it a rather cozy game despite the fact that this game is where you have to survive. The soundtrack is amazing. It's super relaxing. Whatever class you choose it doesn't impact you too much (thinking of how in elden ring being a mage or in dark souls choosing something with faith can make it a bit harder at the beginning). It just makes you make different decisions at the beginning. Dialog wise it's cool that you have you have different options and I think at one point depending upon the dialog I actually had a different outcome happen for one event. I'm not talking about multiple endings. You can lock yourself out of stuff if you aren't careful. I did that on one playthrough. Now for me bringing up that I have a physical edition for the switch. I have two playthroughs on my switch and three on my PC. This game has crashed on me a couple of times. I've never had it crash on me on me the switch but for my PC after several hours of being open it crashed twice on me and once it immediately crashed 5 minutes after one crash it happened (a handful of times). I've never had it crash on me a 2 - 3 hour session. I'm not sure what causes it when I can play elden ring or nightreign for hours or even the convergance mod for elden ring (which is super demanding) and stream them too and the games don't crash. The game itself is not demanding. I think that's all I have to say.
It is hard to put into words the distinct feeling Citizen Sleeper gave me while I played it, and still gives me whenever I think back on it. You are a Sleeper, a being of cold steel, waking in a cold place. There is an undeniable harshness to The Eye when you have barely even scratched its surface. Yet through the humanity you discover within yourself, and through the lives and stories that begin to intertwine with yours, you start to find warmth within that coldness. If I had to compare it to anything, it would be the comfort of standing outside on a particularly gray afternoon, feeling the cold wind against your skin as it washes over you. There is something strangely peaceful in it. Something cleansing. Give it a try.
