Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Been playing this game for years and the base game delivered but then you add the community stuff on-top and it sets the bar - A bar high enough that it takes more than improved graphics to beat it (skyline 2). IF you enjoy building games there's absolutely no reason not to have this in your collection.
Incredibly fun and addicting. Got ~40hrs on record on a copy of the game I had before deciding it was worth buying. I've also seen some people complain about the paradox launcher; just use: "..\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities.exe" %command% in Launch Options to launch right into the game instead. (".." obviously being wherever you keep Steam installed).

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 24.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 38.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's been some time since I've played this game. I open the game up and I'm bombard with legal agreements and an account creation prompt. I go through the policies and go to the home menu and I'm locked out of my save! I bought this game when it first released and there was no account needed. why am I being forced to give you all my data just to play a game I paid for before this ridiculous requirement.

Spiritual successor of Sim City after the death of maxis and or the beginning of the EA apocalypse. Still alive and flourishing even after all this time. Mods for ages. Works great on my machine despite how old it is by now. 90 hours so far maybe another 90 in the coming month or so. Honestly I don't know if buying the sequel might be a good investment but if it doesn't pan out I can always come back to this gem.
Comparing it to Tropico 6, a dictator game I 100%ed with city management, politics, economy and public relations, I feel like Tropico 6 did a better job at maintaining interactions with the game via events, control and ambiance. While Tropico 6 had tropical music that makes you feel like a dictator of Carrabean islands, this? I actually don't even remember hearing a single music, it was almost silence broken by Twitter notifications that barely added to the ambiance with a lot of annoying notifications about new buildings I couldn't build because they were too expansive or near useless to build THAT early... I got it for 90% off and feel scammed. Yes I understand this game is much more focused on growth, city planning and traffic management but it wasn't enjoyable at all to me in contrast to Tropico's management. 10/10 will be a dictator of Carribean islands before giving it an other go. Maybe crabs are better building tropical paradise than primitive human cities? XD
可玩性很高 一包槟榔一包烟 一座立交修一天
This is an excellent city builder that excels at giving players the tools to create sprawling, beautiful urban landscapes. More than anything, the game appeals to those who enjoy designing and refining cities, whether that's constructing picturesque neighborhoods, efficient downtown districts, or massive transportation networks. Beneath the creative freedom lies a surprisingly engaging management game. Planning road layouts, balancing infrastructure needs, and building public transportation systems that can handle a growing population presents a constant series of interesting challenges. Watching a city evolve from a small town into a bustling metropolis is immensely satisfying. The game's biggest weakness is also tied to its greatest strength: its sandbox nature. Since there is no real fail state and few concrete objectives beyond those players set for themselves, progress can occasionally feel abstract or lacking purpose. For some, this freedom is liberating; for others, it can make long-term goals feel less meaningful. Where the game truly stands out is its incredible attention to detail. Individual citizens can be followed throughout their daily routines, emergency services respond dynamically to incidents, and there are even occasional social media-style messages from residents. These small touches create the feeling that you're not just building roads and buildings, but managing a living, breathing community. For players who enjoy creativity, urban planning, and watching complex systems interact, this is one of the finest city-building experiences available.
forces you to download some jewish third party launcher which never used to be the case probably spyware. it also forces you to read some terms of service or something which say something about that the jewish developers own you and that you will get sacrificed to baal if you break the terms of service and some talmud quotes i dont recommend.
bad game, bad update, modders did more to fix it than devs
