Circus Electrique is part story-driven RPG, part tactics, part circus management, and completely enthralling– all with a steampunk twist. When everyday Londoners mysteriously turn into vicious killers, only the show’s talented performers possess the skills necessary to save the city.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0.25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I like having a casual game around for when I'm drinking whiskey, Something calm but still exciting! This checks all the boxes with it's awesome music and sound fx and gives your imagination plenty of room to play as you drink away. Cheers!

Lovely little game. Bought it on a whim, not let down. The art work is fun, and the turn based strategy is refreshing (and cute). It feels like a more updated Darkest Dungeon.
Circus Electrique is a strikingly unconventional strategy RPG from Zen Studios that merges turn-based tactical combat with circus management in a steampunk reimagining of Victorian London. The premise alone sets it apart from more traditional entries in the genre: a mysterious phenomenon known as “the Maddening” has driven much of the city’s population into violent insanity, and the only individuals seemingly resistant to its effects are the performers of the titular Circus Electrique. Strongmen, fire breathers, clowns, acrobats, fortune tellers, and other eccentric acts become unlikely heroes, venturing into the streets to subdue rampaging citizens and uncover the truth behind the chaos. The concept is both whimsical and dark, blending theatrical flair with social unrest in a way that gives the entire campaign a distinct personality. At the heart of the experience is its turn-based combat system, which draws inspiration from formation-focused tactical RPGs. Battles unfold across side-view arenas where positioning matters greatly, and each performer archetype brings a specialized set of abilities. Some characters excel at absorbing punishment, others manipulate enemy positions, while support roles bolster allies or inflict debilitating status effects. A central mechanic called Devotion acts as both a morale gauge and a performance modifier. High Devotion enhances combat effectiveness, unlocking stronger abilities or improved synergy, while low Devotion can hinder a performer’s output. This morale layer adds a dynamic edge to encounters, requiring you to think beyond raw damage numbers and consider the emotional state of your troupe. It encourages careful team composition and timing, especially in more difficult engagements where a single misstep can unravel your strategy. Outside of combat, Circus Electrique reveals its second major pillar: circus management. Between missions, you must organize performances to generate income, which in turn funds upgrades, equipment, and character development. Each show requires thoughtful assignment of performers to maximize audience appeal and ticket sales. Chemistry between acts, skill ratings, and Devotion levels all influence how successful a performance will be. This creates a loop where success in combat feeds into stronger performances, and strong performances enable further growth for future battles. The management system is detailed enough to feel meaningful without descending into spreadsheet-level micromanagement, though players who prefer a purely combat-driven experience may find the constant balancing act between battlefield and big top somewhat demanding. The progression structure moves you through multiple districts of London, each with its own escalating threats and narrative developments. As you advance, enemy types diversify, introducing new mechanics that force adaptation. Some foes disrupt formations, others target morale directly, and certain encounters introduce environmental quirks that complicate otherwise straightforward tactics. This steady layering of complexity keeps the campaign from stagnating, even if individual battles can occasionally feel drawn out. The pacing strikes a careful balance between methodical planning and theatrical spectacle, though it leans more toward deliberate strategy than fast-paced action. Narratively, the game sustains interest through its eccentric tone and stylized presentation. Character dialogue leans into period-inspired language without becoming overly dense, and the overarching mystery of the Maddening provides enough intrigue to propel you forward. While the story may not reach the emotional heights of more narrative-driven RPGs, it effectively complements the gameplay loop and enhances the world-building. The juxtaposition of colorful circus performers against grim industrial cityscapes creates a memorable aesthetic contrast that underscores the game’s central theme: showmanship as salvation in a world teetering on collapse. Visually, Circus Electrique commits fully to its steampunk identity. Character designs resemble vintage circus posters brought to life, with ornate costumes and exaggerated silhouettes that make each class instantly recognizable. Environments blend soot-stained cobblestones, mechanical contraptions, and theatrical backdrops in a cohesive artistic vision. The soundtrack reinforces this atmosphere with moody orchestral pieces that occasionally give way to lively performance tunes during circus shows. The overall production values reflect careful craftsmanship, with a polished interface and readable combat visuals that support the strategic nature of the gameplay. There are, however, some areas where the experience may divide players. Combat, while rich in tactical nuance, can become repetitive over extended sessions, particularly if you find a reliable team composition and rely on it heavily. The management layer, though inventive, demands consistent attention and may slow down the pace for those eager to jump from battle to battle. Additionally, the learning curve in the early hours can feel steep, as the game introduces multiple interconnected systems in quick succession. Players who enjoy depth and complexity will likely appreciate this density, while others may feel initially overwhelmed. Despite these minor drawbacks, Circus Electrique stands as a bold hybrid that refuses to conform to genre expectations. It successfully blends strategic combat with theatrical management in a setting that feels both peculiar and cohesive. For players who enjoy thoughtful turn-based encounters, layered progression systems, and distinctive world-building, it offers a rewarding and memorable journey. Its unique premise, stylistic commitment, and intertwined gameplay systems ensure that it lingers in memory long after the final curtain falls, making it a standout title for those willing to embrace its eccentric charm and strategic demands. Rating: 7/10
A good number of well balanced mechanics keeping the story progressing and the characters leveling at a good rhythm.
Bom jogo
Note: I played this on Easy! I saw reviews saying that it was unmanageably hard and went "okay I'll see how it is on Easy", since the game was on sale for 5USD. It's kind of hard to pass up a game so tailor-made for me at that price. This is essentially "what if Darkest Dungeon was set in Lies of P, but you were also managing a circus the whole time?" And for me personally, that's a premise I can get behind. This is not a smash hit work of art type experience, but it is REALLY fun. I found the logic puzzle of "what performers do I have, what show am I trying to put on this week, what combinations of those performers get me a good result for money and items from that show, and from there, how the hell do I put together a battle ready team of four from the rest" engaging and fun. To compare it to Darkest Dungeon, I found it more fun in a lot of ways. While you certainly can lose units if you play your cards wrong, since the gameplay loop is "traverse the map, assign your troupe, do a single battle, repeat" it's far less punishing than DD, where if you ♥♥♥♥ up a dungeon crawl you're set back quite a bit of play time. Plus, since you can save any time out of battle, reloading is quick and easy if you're like me and don't want to lose your precious circus friends. This game has a decent enough plot, but the aesthetics and vibe is really what carries you forward. Though, I got the sense that at least *someone* on this dev team cared a lot about the world and its characters. There's so many little loading screen blurbs and newspaper clippings detailing this alternate history, and the cast is fully formed with relationships to each other that stem from before the game starts, which made me feel like I was walking into a sequel. Amelia Craig feels a little like a character like Hercule Poirot in that way- no matter where you start those books you always feel like you're missing a large chunk of his career. Combat is fun, though they give you such a powerhouse starting trio in Clown, Strongman and Fire Dancer that I felt like I was hurting my combat prowess when I would swap characters in later. It wasn't until I unlocked the game's "Icons / Pub Fights" that I felt that I was getting somewhere. Much like DD, this game has randomized characters of specific classes that you mix and match as you see fit. What this game ALSO has are unique mini-boss fights scattered around the map that unlock unique variants of these classes who have powerful passives that change up their gameplay: once I beat Nida and Neveah, they sort of hard carried my team through any difficult boss fight with unrelenting damage-over-time. I definitely didn't unlock them all (the game has a helpful little menu that shows you all of the ones you have and I got maybe a quarter of them over the course of one playthrough) but my eyes lit up every time I saw a pub fight ahead of me on the map. This is to say: TLDR Game fun game good game five dollars when on sale. Try it and you might like it.
