Game's a blast if you like movement shooters and maximalistic tech aesthetics.
Back when the demo came out I found myself absolutely OBSESSED with it and now that the full game is out I find myself feeling exactly the same. This is a fantastic movement shooter and speed game with themes and vibes that will hit a specific genre of person like a bus. If you're a girl who wants to be something simultaneously more and less or just someone who enjoys movement shooters, I cannot recommend this enough. I will 100% this game, given time.

Reminds me very much of Neon White. I like the general aesthetic. The sound design is pleasant, and I dig the blocky, colorful design. However, I also really do not like certain visual aspects. Notably, there seems to be no anti-aliasing, with the only option of reducing the aliasing being the performance-heavy option of doubling the rendering resolution, and the contrast has been intentionally bumped up to 11. The only level I visually like is the "MIST" bonus level, because it's a darker level where the high contrast filter doesn't apply to enemies, so they are much easier to spot. I wouldn't mind the lack of aliasing normally, but I don't like dealing with fuzzy, hardly-defined edges in conjunction with high contrast. The default dash keybind is a bit wacky, since it's "E" by default. Your shift key also isn't used for anything. I do not like the freeze frames whenever you kill an enemy, and there is no option to disable it. I don't like it in Ultrakill, Celeste, Katana Zero, etc. Celeste at least needs the freeze frames for performing the dash variations. There seems to be no such reason here, and all it does is make the game feel laggy. I still don't like games with sharp acceleration curves and a movement system without speed preservation. I do like how the floatiness of your character incentivizes you to stomp around, but your fairly sluggish vertical speed contrasts unpleasantly with the sharp horizontal movement. I don't like how many of the gameplay incentives seem to be tied into the point system. From the perspective of just completing levels, your dash is very strong, and there is not as much reason to use your gun as I'd like, especially not in conjunction with your movement. This is mitigated later where the levels have the STARSTRUCK pickup, which gives you enhanced abilities but requires you to upkeep your points to maintain it. The game also doesn't explain some systems that players will interact with. E.g., I don't know what causes you to lose your airjump sometimes. It isn't based on your fall velocity, even though the UI seems to indicate that on the right side of the screen. You get a speed boost off of certain slopes, but it doesn't explain the conditions. The game doesn't explain that a dash-jump gives you much greater height for basically free, and I only figured this out because I've been playing games with dash-jump mechanics lately. Abstractness is evidently part of the game's aesthetic. It is the product of its developer(s) committing to their vision, for better and for worse. Overall, I lean positive for this game. Nice aesthetics, marred by the lack of anti-aliasing and the lack of contrast. The gameplay isn't strictly what I like. It's a bit short, so if you're buying this, you hopefully really dig the aesthetic and/or plan on running for the leaderboards.
Such an insanely stylish and fun game its genuinely ridiculous. It clicks so quickly and everything you do just feels amazing, every part of the moveset flows so well that blazing through levels isn't even a conscious thing, it just happens. Has to be the best FPS I've tried this year, can't wait to see what all it has to offer!
