Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each choice you make creates a new world and brings forth a new future. But at the same time, you're eliminating a different future with the choices you didn't make.
This was my first ever big Japanese RPG title and I am so glad I have finally finished it. I detest turn-based combat (with great exceptions like Undertale) because it often takes away from the flow of the combat, unlike slashers. So I am glad that the features of Auto-Battle, Battle Boosts or Time Shifter were there to get me through the story. Lastly, I gotta praise the soundtrack and the man Yasunori Mitsuda for creating the OST that can only be matched with my favourite sounds from Beyond Good and Evil, Assassin's Creed II, Danganronpa, Metal Gear Rising, Tomb Raider Legend or Undertale. Also, for me the greatest feature was renaming characters that join your party (and there are 40+ of them!), that way, they had more personality to me and I could play with myself doing little callbacks! I believe the greatest example of that feature was - a scene where the father of a character that I named after my girlfriend was at death's door, it did hit me hard. I have only encountered only one crash on PC and had smooth experience throughout, the game’s clock by the final save showed 20h of playtime. Remember that you can save manually by big floating greenish triangles or by leaving the world map with an autosave! Additionally, I used Brady Games Guide to find my way to the objectives, cuz the game rarely gives you any direction and you are mostly free to explore everything. Beware of the catman wearing a tricorn hat and have fun finding your way to Crono Cross!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Easily my favorite of all time. Everything about this is 10/10. The graphics, the music, the atmosphere, the writing. Don't let people's reviews stop you from at least trying it out. Just a few things: - Yasunori Mitsuda's music is unbelievable and a perfect combination to this game's central themes and aesthetics. I can't overstate how amazing the original soundtrack is. If you're not going to play Chrono Cross, at the very least listen to the soundtrack. - Gameplay is fun and fast. Battles are quick, never staying longer than necessary. Chrono Cross avoids long drawn-out battles for the most part. Battle animations are fast and fun, combined with a great camera use and interesting backgrounds. - The leveling system is interesting. It's tied to story completion, so game meta is focused more on story choices, itemization (including Elements) and the choice of companions you take with you. It's refreshing, but not very deep. It's not my favorite leveling system ever, but it gives the game a sense of progression, while not allowing the player to become over or under leveled. If you enjoy min-maxing and spreadsheets, this is not the game for you. - Elements are great. It reminds me of the Materia System from FF7, wherein each character equips spells that are found / bought throughout the game. I would prefer a system with customizable grids (Similar to FF7 or FFX-2 for dresspheres), but it does it's job just fine. The Element / Field system is fun and adds an extra layer to the strategy of the game. - Graphically, this is a PS1 remaster. Personally, I like the new 3d graphics and resolution options. My only criticisms are that I would prefer an OG graphics mode (if it has one I haven't found it) and I would like the use the original portraits (They're not bad, I just prefer them). - Characterization is pretty good. Characters are complex and the roster in this game is massive. Despite this, only a hand-full of characters are important to the plot and there are stretches of the game where the optional characters are excluded from your party. Personally, I would have liked a smaller group of more fleshed-out characters, but I'm grateful we have such a colorful cast to use. The characters central to the plot are all phenomenal and even the game's silent protagonist (Serge) is great. - The inclusion of Radical Dreamers was a great decision. Finally, everyone can have access to this game globally. Great, short story with again, phenomenal music and themes. There's so much more that I could say. Please, play this game. I promise that you won't play anything like ti.
Chrono Cross is the first JRPG I ever beat and let me tell you it is an INCREDIBLE game. Fun characters, moving story, AMAZING MUSIC, beautiful art direction, great battle system. I only used a guide a few times (the final boss is something else) but it's really enjoyable even without. Absolutely adore this game.
Sadly, it crashes easily and runs pretty poorly. It's difficult to recommend this port.
Chrono Cross was a very devise game back then, and now that I finished it I get it. It's an overcomplicated, ambitious sequel to the SNES classic Chrono Trigger. It retains little from it, opting to create its own identity. This sound great on paper, yet the game went too far in the other direction. The plot is confusing and outright nonsensical at times. The connection to Chrono Trigger is there, however, it's not a satisfying one. Even after the credits roll, you'll wonder what the hell happened, and sadly that might hurt how you view the SNES original. Confusing story aside, this package contains the long-Japan exclusive visual novel Radical Dreamers. I haven't played that one yet, so no comment. As for Chrono Cross remaster: it's painfully incomplete. The new models look great, but the backgrounds haven't been properly remastered. The Playstation version tried to go for a watercolored look, which is not translated well here. The new portraits range from excellent to downright terrible, thus there's not a consistent upgrade there either. The battles run smooth for the most part, yet there are some slowdowns against the bigger enemies. It's a weird game to recommend, cause there's no other way of playing this one officially. This version was supposed to bring the best possible remaster to Chrono Cross, but I feel it fails in doing that. There's also a LOT of crashes, which can make the game a little bit annoying to play. SAVE OFTEN if you plan to play this version. As for the actual game: the combat system is very unique, focusing more on a combination of melee and magic that is not often seen in this genre. You have to hit the opponent with three types of melee attacks to built enough stamina to cast spells. Some magic attacks require 5 or 6 points, so building a character becomes very interesting since you need to pursue the % of hit too, besides the usual resistances to damage or status effects. The music is absolutely beautiful and carries the game gravitas in most scenes. It's a great score by legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda. The artstyle is unique. It doesn't resemble at all Chrono Trigger, but it works for the more colorful world they stablish in this game. If you like JRPGs, I would recommend this one, but NOT THIS VERSION. As for a sequel to Chrono Trigger, I don't think it was the right way. As everyone has said over the years: this game would've been way better without the connection to the previous game or Radical Dreamers. It's a great RPG, however, it kinda forces you to play for the vibes more than anything else.
Scam dont buy. freezes a lot
So I'm writing this review with no time in this game on steam. I've played it elsewhere. I'm not gonna sugar coat it. This game is ass. It's not un-redeemable dogwater but it's very,,, It's "potential-game". It has a lot of interesting and fun ideas and they all come together to something that is really not super fun or interesting to play and kind of just gets worse the longer you play it. If you're a fan of JRPG's from this era, probably the only thing that you need to know to understand how you'll feel about this game: It has no exp and 40-something party members. Take a moment to think about what that does to the battle system and the story. Ok there you go, you now know whether or not this game is for you.
Froze after 22 minutes on my SteamDeck, before I could even save. Apparently this is a known issue. I'm going to play it on an older system.
