Favorite roguelike deck builder. Love the characters, atmosphere and art.

Chrono Ark sets a standard for Roguelike/lite deckbuilders. The story is engaging, deeper than most roguelikes, and comes with a few twists that will encourage you to dive in and explore the full story, and the repeated runs are a key story element which i personally really enjoy. The gameplay loop is well done and satisfying, standard difficulty starts quite easy and ramps up to be just spicy enough for less experienced and casual players, while those looking for a challenge have two different ways to crank up the challenge. The artwork is beautiful, the music is great, especially the later bossfights have excellent music, and speaking off bossfights, one of the later ones is frankly a highlight of boss design. Slay the Spire is the game that got me into deckbuilder Roguelikes, but Chrono Ark is the one that got me properly hooked, now do excuse me, i haven't properly 100% cleared the game, so i'm going to sacrifice my night's sleep towards that.

You are MISSING OUT if you dont play this game! Yes im using FOMO, but tbh, it's really, really good. Both the story and the gameplay have depth. This was my first deck builder rogue and it took me awhile to truly understand how to get the most out of all the characters and cards. Characters, bosses, and enemies all have amazing designs. ALSO prob should invest in the DLC if you enjoy the first few runs you do.
