Choo-Choo Charles was one of the most unique indie horror experiences I’ve played in a long time. What started as a game about a giant spider train somehow turned into something genuinely tense, atmospheric, and incredibly memorable. The idea itself is creative, but the way it was executed is what really impressed me. You can clearly feel the passion and effort put into every part of the game. The atmosphere is unsettling in the best way possible, the sound design keeps you constantly nervous, and every encounter with Charles feels intense even after several hours of playing. I especially appreciate how the game balances horror, exploration, and progression without making things overly complicated. Knowing that this project was created by such a small team (mostly a single developer) makes it even more impressive. Creating a game that became this recognizable and loved by so many players is a huge achievement. It’s inspiring to see indie developers take creative risks instead of following generic trends, and this game absolutely stands out because of that. Of course the game is not perfect, but honestly, the charm, originality, and atmosphere easily outweigh the flaws. I would much rather play a short and memorable game with personality than a long game that feels empty. Thank you for creating something genuinely original and entertaining. Games like this are the reason indie horror is so enjoyable. I’m excited to see what projects you create in the future, and I’ll definitely be supporting your work. Keep up the amazing work!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ **Recommended** ˖ ࣪ ⊹ Choo-Choo Charles is simple, creepy, and honestly so much fun. I do not come back to it super often, but every time I do, it still manages to make me scream and panic. ⋆˚꩜。 The gameplay is pretty straightforward: you explore the island, upgrade your train, collect supplies, complete missions, and prepare yourself for Charles showing up at the worst possible time. You are basically trying to get stronger while this terrifying spider-train menace hunts you down. ✧ And when I see that stupid train charging at me? Pure panic. No thoughts. Just screaming, running, and hoping my little train can survive. ˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ I like that the game does not need to be overly complicated to be fun. The idea is weird, scary, and silly in the best way, and it works. There is something so funny and stressful about being hunted by a giant evil train with spider legs. ⟡ Overall, Choo-Choo Charles is a fun little horror game that is easy to understand, creepy enough to make you panic, and memorable because of how ridiculous and terrifying Charles is. That train can stay far away from me, thank you. ✨
This game is very scary to me. The optional missions are very useful in getting scrap and with that scrap if you get any extra it will be very useful in the final battle. Pretty interesting plot and I teared up at the very first death. Would def recommend <3
ЧУ ЧУ
I played this game as part of an Archipelago. I actually found myself loving the core gameplay loop. The train to explore the map is really fun and immersive. It's not really that scary, and I found myself dreading the stealth sections (personal dislike for stealth games), but what it lacks in Horror it definitely makes up for in fun!
honestly just a mid game
