Choices: Stories You Play

It’s alright I enjoy the stories I wish they went back to watch 100 videos get diamonds and keys bc without spending money getting diamonds is hard. You have to read a book you don’t care for to get free diamonds but can only read 2 chapters every 2 hours I enjoy reading and I love most of the stories I just wish getting diamonds was easier than just buying them. There’s an option to play games for the diamonds or do surveys but it never works for me and they should take that feature off and replace it with a better way to get more diamonds.

Wish they listened to the readers. There’s a very active Reddit full of people that I have been reading choices stories for over a decade who are very vocal about not liking any of the recent decisions that Choices had made in terms of story, art, etc. The original stories had so much heart. Now it’s all AI and soulless. I’ve sent a few messages and filled out some feedback forms across the years begging them not to go in the direction they have. It’s so sad to see all the love and effort the creators put into this app not be valued and then be let go of. I hope they can turn it around start doing things how they used to.

Just… Disappointing I have loved this app for years, but it’s just gone so far downhill lately. My last straw was when they fired their good writers and cancelled their latest projects that were in progress. Scream For Me in particular was one of the best, most exciting stories they’ve put forth in years, and they just straight up axed it with a trash cliffhanger on episode 5. So disrespectful to their fans and paying customers. I’ve been a VIP for years, but with this kind of behavior and the general lack of quality in recent releases, I can’t justify paying $14.99 a month for this content anymore.

Disappointed I have played Choices for years, and have been a VIP subscriber for much of that time. Not anymore. The last story I read, Scream For Me, was originally supposed to be a 16 chapter book, and it was then cut down to only 5. Nothing about it was wrapped up or finished, it was left hanging in the middle. They couldn’t even care to give us a finished story, and the amount of diamonds I spent on that book was atrocious for what I got. It had potential, but since PixelBerry was sold out and fired most of their artists and writers, it’s been an AI cash grab. Don’t even get me started on the next “story” Heroes 2. It’s all an ai show with no choices whatsoever. I’m so disappointed that I’ve canceled my subscription. If they can no longer care about giving me the quality of the stories I’m used to, then I no longer care about giving them the money they want. It was fun while it lasted.

Devastation doesn’t begin to cover it I’ve been playing this game for YEARS. Purchased VIP the moment it was introduced. Im seconds away from cancelling my subscription. The weird Hero ‘movie’ was one thing but today the ‘Scream for me book’ was finished with an abrupt incomplete storyline. Feels like robbery with using my diamonds that I spend money on. I’m actually so disappointed with what this game has become because I used to genuinely love it. If books are started they should be finished to completion or our money back… To do it to one book only says it will happen again. You guys really need to reevaluate these decisions and remedy them or you will lose credibility and your loyal fan base. Do better :(

What is going on? Not only has AI taken over the app, I just finished one of the newest books that was only 5 chapters, which is bad enough when we used to get 15+, but the story ended so abruptly I was literally shocked. No closure, no explanation, it just ended randomly. Also, the diamond choices have gotten almost twice as expensive. This used to be the best stories app, now it’s swiftly becoming the worst.

Lost the plot Choices used to be amazing but is now pure garbage. I have been playing for years now and it has declined dramatically. Every book is AI generated slop and/or hyper sexualized. Not everything you read needs to be smut. If you’re going to write smut, make sure it’s good. All of the new books that are coming out are short and poorly written. I do not think the creators of this app or is staff care about quality. The stories used to be so entertaining and original. For the past two years, they have released new books that are just the same plot as their old books. The creativity and care has disappeared. It’s truly a pity.

AI SLOP!! WARNING!! I have played this game for years and it is no longer even close to what it used to be. The use of generative AI for the new stories and art has destroyed the integrity and enjoyment of this app. The story lines are flat and the art is borderline copyrighted (look at the new “Hero” AI slop that Pixelberry was forced to delete because it was basically an AI-generated Captain Marvel). This game has completely lost its soul. It is no longer captivating or witty. I’m horribly disappointed in Pixelberry for these changes and for firing your talented writers and artists. They will likely respond to this review with a link that “explains their recent decisions”. Well, I have read that, and I am here to tell you that AI is not at all improving the gameplay, despite what the blogpost says. We don’t need stories “faster”. We need them created with the same love and care they always have been. Your users can tell. You say your “team of real people” are the ones training the AI. If that is so, where is the dang quality check?? Why are there so many flaws when it used to be near flawless?? Disgusting. Useless. Horribly disappointed.

Choices ! Sneaky way to avoid paying out rewards!! I love this App and the stories are great however I’ve noticed something sneaky lately with some of their new books and the rewards for finishing a book for the first time. Apparently you can’t collect the 15 diamond reward if you didn’t read 15 or 16 chapters to finish the book.. even though the reward doesn’t say that.. it’s true. I read a book called Promise of Forever.. it has 2 books and the second one is a continuation of the first that ended on a cliff hanger. Both books are 4 chapters each and the second one wraps up the story. No reward comes for finishing these books. I find it sneaky that they did this as it appears they are trying to keep us from getting rewards from new books. If that’s the case then they need to change the reward description or give us the reward for finishing a book for the first time as the reward states.

Downfall It’s really unfortunate that this app has gone down hill. Starting stories then completely trashing the project because of layoffs is ridiculous. Using AI instead of original creators that built up your app is disappointing. As I’ve gone through recent reviews I have seen the same things. Decline in quality, increase in quantity, and decline in acknowledgement to the issues with their app. The copy and paste responses to negative reviews is also how you lose participants. We are looking for progress and to see that our concerns are being heard. This is just like the downfall of Lovestruck.
