Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a very well-made game with mechanics elegantly designed to mix roguelike and chess. The visual and sound effects are good, the game's difficulty is balanced, and I feel like the developer put a lot of effort and attention into development. I recommend it to anyone who likes the genre and theme.
Dark Souls 2d Com Peças de Xadrez. Simplesmente Fantástico.

Check and Slash, developed and published by Gate of Madness, is an inventive indie action roguelite that fuses real-time hack-and-slash combat with mechanics inspired by the movement logic of chess. Released on Steam in 2024, the game stands out for its unusual concept: you control a Black King navigating procedurally generated chessboard arenas, cutting through hostile White pieces while pushing toward a final confrontation with the opposing King. What initially sounds like a novelty quickly reveals itself as a tightly designed combat experience built around positioning, pattern recognition, and calculated aggression. At its core, Check and Slash blends arcade-style responsiveness with strategic awareness. Unlike traditional chess, which unfolds in turns and measured decisions, this game operates entirely in real time. Enemy pieces move and attack according to patterns loosely inspired by their classical chess counterparts, but their behavior is adapted for fast-paced combat. Pawns may rush in predictable lines, while other pieces employ more varied movement patterns, creating a battlefield that demands constant adaptation. The fusion of recognizable chess logic with roguelite unpredictability gives the game a distinctive identity within the genre. Each run places players inside a procedurally generated maze of interconnected rooms. Clearing a room unlocks new paths, rewards upgrades, and escalates difficulty. The roguelite structure ensures that layouts, enemy combinations, and upgrade options differ from session to session, encouraging experimentation. Death resets progress within a run, but knowledge gained—about enemy behavior, movement efficiency, and build optimization—remains with the player. This loop reinforces the “learn through failure” philosophy central to many successful roguelites. Combat feels immediate and skill-driven. Attacks are quick, movement is precise, and dodging becomes essential as encounters grow denser. Rather than relying on raw stat scaling alone, survival depends on situational awareness and timing. Upgrades acquired between rooms significantly alter playstyle. Some enhancements increase raw damage output, while others introduce new abilities or defensive mechanics, allowing for varied builds across different runs. The strategic choice between upgrades adds a layer of planning to an otherwise reactive gameplay style. Boss encounters punctuate progression, serving as climactic skill checks that demand mastery of mechanics introduced earlier. These fights are designed with layered attack patterns and limited safe zones, pushing players to balance offense and defense carefully. Victory feels earned, especially when achieved with a build that complements the player’s preferred combat rhythm. The bosses reinforce the chess-inspired theme without sacrificing the fast tempo of the action. Visually, Check and Slash embraces a clean pixel-art aesthetic. The chessboard motif is consistently integrated into environmental design, reinforcing the thematic concept without overwhelming the screen. Character sprites are clear and readable even amid chaotic fights, and effects are restrained enough to maintain visual clarity. The top-down perspective enhances tactical awareness, allowing players to anticipate enemy movement paths effectively. While the art style is minimalist, it serves gameplay priorities well. The soundtrack and audio design complement the brisk pace. Sound effects for attacks and enemy defeats provide satisfying feedback, while background music maintains energy without becoming intrusive. Audio cues also assist in anticipating certain enemy actions, subtly reinforcing strategic play. The presentation, while modest in scope, demonstrates thoughtful alignment between aesthetics and mechanics. Replayability forms one of the game’s strongest pillars. Procedural generation and varied upgrade combinations ensure that no two runs are identical. While the overall content pool—such as enemy types and room themes—is more focused than in larger-scale roguelites, the interplay between mechanics and player skill sustains engagement. Short, intense sessions make the game well-suited for repeated play, especially for those who enjoy refining strategies and chasing improved performance. Ultimately, Check and Slash stands as a creative and skill-oriented roguelite that successfully merges the strategic DNA of chess with the kinetic energy of real-time combat. Its unique concept is not merely cosmetic; it meaningfully informs enemy design, movement patterns, and room layouts. Though its scope remains compact compared to major roguelite franchises, it delivers a polished and engaging experience that rewards adaptability and mastery. For players seeking a fresh twist on action roguelites with a strong mechanical identity, it offers a distinctive and satisfying challenge. Rating: 7/10
I got %100 game and I am sorry I cannot recommend. It was so unnecessary to play this. Cool concept but in the end it's just button smash.

Bardzo przyjemna rozgrywka szachowa połączona z nowymi mechanizmami znanymi z gier hack & slash.
