A short and sweet trip down memory lane with creative puzzles!
NOT recommended to colorblind people due to the numerous color-based puzzles with no accessibility settings. Puzzle difficulty: ★★★☆☆ Playtime: 2-5 hrs This game has so much soul, the dev nailed the 90s OS experience, both the UI and the audio of old hardware too. The puzzles are fun and challenging enough, but not too difficult, there is a surprise every step of the way. Your goal is to unlock CDs to investigate its contents, install files, find and decipher codes for unlocking the next CD (10 total). Sometimes you need to backtrack a bit, so I'd recommend to take screenshots and/or whip the pen and paper out to write clues down. Awesome short experience, CD-ROM is clearly a work of passion, definitely a must play if you want to experience some puzzly nostalgia.
Really enjoyed playing this, beautiful retro 90's OS computer art and enough puzzles to make you scratch your head for a while. Hope the developer follows up with some more games in the future!

The game was over a lot quicker than I expected it, the endgame goes by deceptively fast, but it was a fun little puzzle game with 10/10 presentation. None of the puzzles are very hard, they all require cross referencing information and maybe taking some notes (or screenshots), but it was intriguing and creative enough to keep me occupied for the 2 hours it took to finish.
Beautiful design and nice, interesting puzzles. The gameplay turned out to be more diverse than expected, although I wish some of the features were used a bit more. I'd love to see more monoclelord games in the future^^
Very fun and well presented puzzle game. There were one or two puzzles that I felt were a bit obtuse, even after looking up the solution I still wasn't able to see the thread of logic. Other than that the puzzle design was really good. Also I'm a sucker for fake OS games.
C'est bien sympa je valide même si Sony n'approuve pas mdr
Simply amazing. Very clever puzzling, I always admire someone who can make a good puzzle beyond someone who can solve a good puzzle. This game was phenomenal. My only gripe is that it seemed front heavy, the difficulty peak was in the middle and then it got progressively easier to get the rest of the CD's. Not a real issue though, just a pacing thing, still very satisfying. I cannot help to believe that there is something more, however. The last button in the elevator is still red (i know it was clicked in the outro). And all those other rooms from the data base. Phenomenal either way. 9/10
CD-ROM delivers remarkable puzzle design with a good retro aesthetic, although it's held back by a lack of quality-of-life features. The puzzles are more diverse than expected, and I haven't really seen most of these in other games. Some puzzle designs require you to go back and forth between CDs. After an hour, I decided to (1) set the game to windowed mode and take screenshots for convenience, or (2) use a guide that provides hints. It's a bit rough, but it's one of few rare cases where the term 'hidden gem' accurately describes this game.
Good short game! The navigating between discs can be a little tedious but I liked how interwoven the puzzle content was between sections.
