great game just like the classic version but with updated graphics and translations i feel like it can run on a toaster and youll get lots of playtime out of this with multiple endings and the story is great

Buy it on sale AFTER playing the freeware version from 2004, because it's a great version of it. It also includes multiple (incredible) versions of the (incredible) soundtrack. It's worth noting that you can almost perfectly recreate the original experience by changing 3 settings (all of which have "Organya" and "Classic", in case you haven't played the original.) Original way is the most nostalgic for me, but it's your game so play as you damn well please! By the way, I saw other reviews complaining about performance, but I've had no issues. Hopefully their experience has improved...
I first played it last week, I just finished my 4th playthrough, I'm very stupid for not playing this sooner, Cave Story is truly the GOAT.
