CatBox

CatBox is a casual puzzle game where you have to fit differently shaped cats into a predetermined area and each level features different cats and layouts. There are many similar games, featuring not only cats but other animals as well, yet this one stands out due to its presentation: the game is styled as a book, with a page for the settings menu and separate pages for each chapter. You can select levels and read a short paragraph of the main character's story, told from her childhood to old age, with cats being a constant presence in her life. The “book” interface looks great, with a cute, cartoonish design. The cats themselves are very distinct from one another and are beautifully illustrated. The minimalist backgrounds help keep the focus on the cats and the puzzle itself. The puzzles aren’t as difficult as those in some similar games I’ve played, and there’s a hint system to help you if you get stuck. I completed most of the puzzles without using hints, relying on them only as a last resort. To get all the achievements, you only need to complete one level per chapter without hints, which shouldn’t be too difficult for the average player. CatBox is a fun, relaxing puzzle game! There are a variety of cute hand drawn cats to fit together just puuurfect! Love it!

Bei CatBox, bekommt man genau das, was auf der Shopseite angekündigt wird. 150 kleine Sortieraufgaben mit Katzen in ganz verschiedenen Settings. Ist ähnlich zu anderen Spielen wie "Cats/Dogs/... Organized Neatly". Man kann zwischendurch wohl mal ein Level bzw. ein Setting/Seite machen, aber alles am Stück wäre mir vermutlich zu eintönig. [spoiler] Habe es im Angebot für 2,21€ erworben.
