Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities!
Faced with the constant threat of monster attacks, the residents of Harbourtown, New Wirral choose to fight fire with fire. Record a monster to tape, then play it back to take on its form for battle!
Getting close to your companion has benefits–while transformed you can combine your strengths to gain the upper hand in battle! Any two monster forms can be fused to produce unique, fully-animated new fusion forms.
Certain monster abilities can be used in human form. You’ll need these to help you get around, solve puzzles, and locate dungeons. Glide, fly, swim, climb, dash, or turn magnetic! Take on the Gauntlet – a never-ending battle mode where you’ll face fearsome enemies for precious material and glory!
Never fight alone! Form bonds, spend time together, and help your selected partner complete personal goals to become a better team. The strength of your relationship determines how well you’re able to fuse!
Take advantage of elemental chemistry to apply extra buffs or debuffs alongside your attack, or even alter your opponent’s elemental type!
Team up with a friend in local multiplayer to explore, transform, and fight together!
Party up with Online Multiplayer to trade monster tapes, challenge your friends to 1v1 battles, and team up to take on powerful Rogue Fusion beasts for great rewards!

Es un tremendo juego de coleccion de criaturas y combate por turnos, Puntos positivos: -La musica y el arte en general es hermoso probablemente lo mejor de todo el juego -Los diseños de las criaturas son geniales y hay una buena cantidad, 148 -Si bien el mapa parece pequeño, esta lleno de cosas que hacer, puzzles, misiones secundarias, lugares secretos o peleas contra fusiones -Tienes mucha libertad sobre los movimientos y habilidades de tu equipo, ademas puedes personalizarlo aun mas con el entrenamiento del gimnasio -Hay casi 17.000 fusiones disponibles -La cantidad de contenido es sorprendente, constantemente pensaba que ya me estaba acercando al final del juego, pero siempre salia una nueva mision disponible -El DLC vale mucho la pena, te agregauna nueva isla con 3 mini mazmorras, cada una con su jefe y despues peleas con el jefe final Puntos negativos -Es un poco incomodo que a veces se deba cargar el mapa cuando vas caminando, es algo que ocurre mas a medida avanzas el juego ya que aumentas tu resistencia -El boton de fusion deberia tener una opcion para confirmar, porque varias veces me equivoque ya que queria capturar o escapar y termine fusionandome -No poder fusionarse con tu compañero hasta que inicie la mision correspondiente -Los fragmentos de las fusiones son algo que es dificil de conseguir al comienzo del juego, entiendo que es algo para el end game, pero aun asi requiere bastante farmeo si quieres obtenerlos todos -Cooperativo, te permite jugar con algun amigo en la misma partida Estos problemas son pequeños y no arruinan el juego para nada, merece mucho la pena, hasta ahora le meti 28 horas y me queda contenido

Honestly I quite like it. It is certainly strange don't get me wrong, whether it be the art style or the plot, it is strange. The core of the game resembles double battles in Pokemon, but it has enough different mechanics to make it it's own game. I'd certainly recommend giving it a try if you enjoy Pokemon or anything similar. Just do be warned, the art style in the game is a strange mix of 2D and 3D.

(ignore the played time, I got this game on Switch first then picked it up on PC aswell in part to leave a review) I kind of accidentally stumbled upon this game by accident last week, and I am completely *hooked*. This whole game is so beautifully crafted, from the artstyle, to the monster design, to the music and the characters you meet. If you are a fan of creature collecting games, you owe it to yourself to give Cassette Beasts a try. And if you look at this and think "sheesh, another Pokemon rip off" -- you're wrong. Yes, you collect creatures. Sure. But this game does enough unique things both in and out of battle that I really do not think making that comparison is fair to it. Cassette Beasts entered a genre already populated by big names, yes, but it carved a solid niche for itself within that space. These devs won me over and I can't wait for the sequel.
Besides the nice pixel graphics, the somewhat decent story and it being quite funny and cute I dislike everything this game has to offer. Its not bad just not for me.
Musiche favolose, art design piacevole, storia interessante e gameplay divertente. Gioco semplice (forse appena troppo, considerando che ci sono taaaanti modi per scoppiarlo ed era il mio primo monster collector) ma overall una bella esperienza che consiglio a tutti gli amanti del genere... e non solo. Come detto non sono un veterano del genere (ma di Jrpg e combattimenti a turni ne ho macinati parecchio, soprattutto FF) e mi è piaciuto molto

One of the best monster taming titles of all time, with a style and vibe all its own that you won't find anywhere else. Don't let my low playtime fool you, I've also picked this title up on iOS AND the Switch. It is GOOD.
