Fun fishing game, however EW did kind of show us the blue print for most likely what would of been the best open world fishing game ever made then said "naw" and gave up on it. Fixing the bugs and adding a small cheap DLC or even adding some new mechanics for free would probably make this game pop off a bit if it were advertised well via content creators. Re working the multiplayer to allow for private lobbies just for friends would also be a massive improvement. I do not own any of the current DLC so I do not know why all but the latest, the Japanese map, have mixed reviews but I do believe that this could be an amazing game considering the next best option is free to play with well over $1,000 of DLC needed for the whole experience. Hunter COTW has enough content take a break and come back to this project. This not a "complete" game like I have been seeing some people say, the bugs that I have encountered shows that, The Angler just needs some love and community support. With that being said I still do recommend the game even though I would say there is a 90% chance EW never touches this game although I would love to see that. My final score in this games current state is 6.5/10 with the possibility of being a solid 7.5-9/10, unless your looking for a hyper realistic fishing game(if so then go outside and fish irl). Hopefully this review has even just a small impact either to help get this game going again with updates or just encourage you to purchase this game and experience it, although I would recommend waiting to see if it ever goes on sale.

As much as I would like to promote this program, I get a crash almost every time I am reeling a fish in, so my enjoyment is VERY limited, sadly. I REALLY want to like this game, but developers don't appear to care much for it, so I guess I should not either.

Developers abandondend the game but atleast this game brought me to Fishing Planet and Russian Fishing 4 10/10
Slow and relaxing. great to chat with friends. needs a bit of polishing, fish spawning is completely random.
The graphics is good, and the game is easy and exciting to play. I hope more players will show up and make all the work put into it worthwhile.
