Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 44.71/day in the week to Sep 4 → 53.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
nothing beats DMZ on this game mode, tried newer CODs and always come back to DMZ
It's alright I got it during the summer sale, I initinally played the beta and honestly thought it was fun, the gun tuning can be a bit stupid but I kinda wished they improved upon it I've been grinding the mastery camos lately and haven't ran the campaign as much, guns felt nice and the TTK was okay imo... I think MW2 022 is just being over hated but I understand the anger towards MW2023...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

OK
played some Multiplayer, it's CoD alright. Campaign is kinda bleh, some cool ideas that drag too long and some areas that would have been better to fall back on tried and true CoD staples.
Хороший гемплей, и графика.
good
Can someone explain why it keeps saying ‘HILLCAT’? Why is it that I’m the one who has to go to all this trouble to fix it? Could the official team please provide an explanation? I’ve wasted all this time trying to fix it, and there’s no way to get a refund.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
I don't know why Activision has suddenly started doing 90% sales on older COD titles but I am not going to complain, £5.99 for the campaign alone is a good deal. I still think the original MW2 is better overall but the fidelity of the visuals and the retelling of the campaign is enough to make this worth a try on sale.
Multiplayer
I have not played a second of the multiplayer and I don't plan to, these faster COD's with SBMM are nothing compared to the OG's. These games' multiplayer have gone from being purely focused on the gameplay to just being a device for Activision to sell you as much as possible, and this game is ridiculous for it, the skins look so jarring in comparison to the world it's set in. The co-op mode is essentially this game's version of Spec-ops, I've disliked each version of Spec-ops before this, especially MW19's, but for me, I think they finally nailed what I can enjoy in a Modern Warfare co-op experience. The maps/missions feel like they are made specifically for this mode, with huge open areas with varying tasks mission to mission, from stealth to defence missions there's a good variety and none of it felt recycled.
Campaign
The standout part of this game is by far the campaign, this ♥♥♥♥ feels like playing a movie, the visuals are so damn good in the gameplay itself, but more so in the cutscenes which look so damn realistic, it helps so much in getting engrossed in the world. The story follows on from MW19 and once again deviates from the original games, the huge moments that happened in the OG MW2? not here, this is it's own complete story but with similar moments that hark back to those original storylines.
I love the multiple moments in this campaign where the names switch from blue to red, it's little details like this that make for really tense moments where you know the story is taking a turn.
What I admire most from a COD campaign is when they do something unique gameplay-wise and this game does it multiple times throughout the campaign, like there's a mission where you are hanging from a helicopter, upside down, and having to still shoot at enemies, it really captures that action hero moment. There's also a mission where you're injured and alone and having to collect materials to craft items to make your way out, and they bring it back for the final mission when you get separated from your group, it's unlike anything from previous campaigns so it makes it uniquely MWII.
Achievements (24/24)
Achievements are for co-op mode and campaign only, co-op mode is pretty easy but requires a partner, the campaign achievements are pretty simple even on Veteran.
Music/sound
Phenomenal voice acting as with all the COD campaigns.
Settings/Accessibility/Misc
This game continues the trend of having the same menu's that are plagued across the COD launcher client, with terrible settings menu's that are horrible to navigate. Entering Campaign even when it's the only thing you have installed requires a restart and settings are inaccessible during the campaign with hitting escape just giving you a blank frozen screen. There's a mission in the campaign where the lights completely blind you unless you are staring at the ground and you are unable to adjust the settings making the section unbareable. 11 languages fully supported with VA, and another 3 without. Keyboard, mouse and gamepad support with key rebinding available.
TL;DR
Buy on 90% sale. Outstanding visuals. Multiplayer is a device to sell skins. Co-op is unique. Campaign is fun with classic COD action hero moments and unique gameplay elements. Easy achievements.
