Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Verdict
✅ Recommended Not the best Call of Duty, but definitely one of the better ones for me.
My history with the game
I finished Call of Duty: Ghosts in 5.7 hours (on Veteran difficulty). This was my second full playthrough. I first played it sometime around 2018, but I actually wanted to play it much earlier, around its original release in 2013. Back then, I still had an older PC build from 2007, and Ghosts was one of the first Call of Duty games where the system requirements felt noticeably higher. I remember installing it, trying to launch it, and the game simply refused to start because of an error. I think this was probably one of the reasons why Ghosts had a rougher reception and why Activision never made Ghosts 2.
Quick signals
💸 Value: ✅ Worth playing at least once 🖥️ Requirements: ✅ Easy to run today, but demanding back in 2013 🎨 Graphics: ✅ Still decent ⏱️ Length: ✅ 5.7 hours for my playthrough 📖 Story: ✅ Good enough and entertaining 🎮 Gameplay: ✅ Classic cinematic Call of Duty 🐛 Bugs: ✅ No major issues for me now
What I liked
* I enjoyed the campaign again, even on my second playthrough. * The game still delivers that classic cinematic Call of Duty feeling. * The skyscraper mission with rappelling was one of the most memorable parts for me. * The jungle mission also stood out. * Honestly, all missions had something enjoyable in them. * The main villain was pretty good and carried a lot of the story for me. * The campaign is short, but well-paced. * It is not the best Call of Duty, but I still think it belongs among the better ones.
About the story
I know some players did not like the missions or the story, but we also have to be honest here. After the original Modern Warfare trilogy and Black Ops 1 and 2, it was extremely difficult to bring another Call of Duty campaign with the same level of cinematic impact. Ghosts does not reach those heights, but I still think it offers a solid military action campaign.
Nostalgic details
One thing that made me smile was the sound design. This game came out in 2013, exactly 10 years after the original Call of Duty from 2003. Because of that, it felt strangely nostalgic to hear some familiar sounds again. The footsteps in snow, picking up ammo from weapons on the ground, and walking on metal stairs sounded almost exactly like in the 2003 game. Maybe some people will not care about that, but for me it was a nice nostalgic detail.
What didn’t work for me
* It does not reach the level of the original Modern Warfare trilogy or Black Ops 1 and 2. * The story is good, but not legendary. * Some players may find the campaign too short. * I can understand why not everyone connected with this entry. * It probably did not do enough to become the start of a successful Ghosts sub-series.
Is it an endless game? How long to beat?
No, this is not an endless game. I finished the campaign in 5.7 hours. It is a typical shorter Call of Duty campaign, focused on cinematic missions and fast pacing.
Who will love it
You will probably enjoy Call of Duty: Ghosts if you like cinematic military shooters, classic Call of Duty campaigns, short action-packed stories, and older CoD games from the Xbox 360 / PS3 / early Xbox One era.
Replay value
Replay value is decent if you like replaying Call of Duty campaigns. For me, this was my second full playthrough, and I still enjoyed it. I do not think I will replay it often, but I am glad I returned to it.
Final note
Call of Duty: Ghosts is not the best Call of Duty, but I think it is better than its reputation suggests. The campaign is short, cinematic, enjoyable, and has some memorable missions. The villain worked well for me, and the game gave me a bit of nostalgia because of some classic Call of Duty sound effects. After Modern Warfare and Black Ops, expectations were extremely high, and Ghosts probably could not fully live up to them. But as a single-player campaign, I still had a good time. Recommended to play at least once.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is still very good even by 2026 standards I think it's a huge mistake that Ghosts 2 hasn't been released; we didn't appreciate its value enough back then its so sad
Pretty forgettable. There are a few interesting missions, but ultimately there are other titles in the series that do things just as well or better.
great game it doesnt deserve the hate it got. I wish we got to see ghosts 2 happening but cause of the fanbase we didnt
Please do not waste your money or you WILL be disappointed! Don't get me wrong. I have played and have been a fan of CoD games, especially the early ones. This particular game has a bug somewhere down the road that will freeze up and you CAN NOT get past it. At that point you will have more than two hours in the game which will lock you out of a return. I can't believe they are asking $60 for a game that will not play out. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME..... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Прости, что в далеком 2012 году были слишком строги к тебе.
For starters this game got a lot of bad reviews when it was new. One of the main reasons for this was the pure awesomeness Black Ops 2 really was. Over time Call of Duty fans have come to enjoy the game but it's not a fan favorite for sure. Call of Duty Ghosts is a new game from the ground up not following the older Modern Warfare series and instead focusing on a new story line. The campaign offers some cool new missions involving being in space, underwater and even playing as a dog at one point. Like most Call of Duty games the campaign overall is meh and I would rate it a 7.5/10. The survival mode in Modern Warfare 3 2011 was also dropped for a new game mode called extinction which played more like zombies. The stock game came with one map and then one for each DLC similar to that of the Treyarch Zombies game modes. Treyarch's Zombies focuses around free play not objective play and you can do whatever you want and survive in the starting area for as long as you want. Extinction feels more like a linear story line where you destroy some hives with a drill as you defend it, sort of like Payday when breaking the vault. You then fly out of the zone at the end of the storyline. Each of the 4 players select a specific role to play (Engineer, Medic, Tank, or Weapon Specialist) which offers their own unique abilities. The DLC also adds more to the game modes story line and even includes some boss fights. This mode is more a 6/10, it feels like a step backwards from the Modern Warfare 3 Survival mode and just feels like they are trying to copy Treyarch's hit game mode despite having multiple instant hits in the Modern Warfare series. Lastly the main mode everyone buys a Call of Duty game for Multiplayer. This mode featured the point system from Black Ops 2 but was revised slightly. The game also added different playable characters in multiplayer. Infinity Ward tried to copy Battlefield a little by adding dynamic things that happen during a match like a falling building. This concept was a little interesting but the novelty kinda wore off quick. Games feel like you need to camp corners more to survive rather than the standard run and gun the franchise is known for. The gameplay itself is sort of similar to Modern Warfare 2 2009 where everyone was using the UMP 45 and the ACR because they were like strong laser beams. In Ghosts it's the Honey Badger and Remington R5 and they kill so much faster than everything else. You also could lean around walls in Ghosts for the first time but it felt kinda half done and wasn't that used or abused. The multiplayer on it's own feel like a 7.5/10 however when compared to the previous Call of Duty Black Ops 2 it's clear why the fanbase rated it lower at the time. Multiplayer is still playable today on the IW6X client and could use so more active players to keep lobbies more populated throughout the day.
